Aziz is here- My UBAC waterbirth baby! With birth story now!

We are so happy to welcome a beautiful baby boy to our family. He was born this morning at 4:53, daddy caught him and pulled him from the water. I wanted to thank you all for the ELV's. I really needed them. It was about 12 hours start to finish. I will write more later, but I am really weak right now, I lost a lot of blood and am hoping that the heavy bleeding will slow down soon. We haven't gotten a weight check done yet, but I'm thinking he's in the 8.5 lb range. He is really tired too, which has been a godsend because I can barely walk 10 feet to the bathroom without blood pressure issues.

Keeping all of you who have little ones and ones on the way in my thoughts and prayers.

ETA: Before I forget, I talked to DH this morning about how baby came out and I found out that all that discomfort in my back (aka back labor LOL) and short contractions were for a reason. He came out posterior. WOOT WOOT. I can't believe all that work to not lean back and sitting on a birth ball 24/7, crawling around, lunging and he still came out sunny side up. I am amazed right now. I feel like a warrior. I birthed a 9lb posterior babe!

Congratulations! I've been sending good thoughts your way and am glad to hear everyone is doing well. PLEASE take care of yourself and monitor your blood loss carefully, this is not a time to put your needs on the backburner as I'm sure you know. Hope you and your family are snuggling down nicely. Enjoy your baby moon!

Welcome little Aziz!!

Floradix helped me a lot when I had blood pressure problems after my birth. Hope the bleeding slows really soon for you.

Congratulations!

Sorry about the blood loss, I hope it's slowed by now! I second the floradix recommendations, it helped me feel normal after DD was born, too.

Congratulations, momma! And welcome sweet baby! Do you have a trusted healthcare provider you can consult with? Your post makes me a bit worried. I hope you get lots of rest and please don't hesitate to seek help if things aren't quite right. I'm eager to hear from you with an update and name for the lil' fella!

Feeling sooooo much better today. Had a weight check and Aziz was 9 lbs even today. So he was probably a few oz more at birth. My blood loss is dramatically reduced. No more clots, thank goodness I ate those placenta pieces. Plus DH has been force feeding me protein. It's weird not having an appetite.

Today was the first day I left the house and I felt wonderful. He is nursing great and my milk is in. His cord is almost off and he hardly ever cries. He is quite the pooping machine too! My dd is driving me bonkers with her crying though.

One sucky thing is that in order to get his birth certificate I have to file a petition with the courts to establish the fact of birth. I was really hoping to avoid this, but oh well.

I can't believe I had a 9 lb baby and didn't tear. Yay me! And no swelling either. I thought for sure at least the roids LOL. It looks like there were lots of babies born in the last couple days so I will have to hop back on later.
