Co-sleeping with twins- how long?

How long were you able to co-sleep with your twins with them in a co-sleeper and/or sidecarred crib?

Right now we have a co-sleeper but I am wondering about sidecarring a crib.

Also if your twins shared a crib how long did they share it?

TIA!

We co-slept for 4 months and the shared a crib until they were 8 months.

I used a co sleeper for about a year, but mostly they were both in bed either side of me/ stuck to the breast tandem feeding at night

Now we have bedguards either side. I would like to have a few hours to myself of an evening !!! but only one child will go down without waking up shrieking if I move away. Sigh. I could conceivably put them both in a cot (at 15 months) though if that wasn't the case!

We didn't have them in a cosleeper but we did you a bed rail until they were almost 2. From about 18mo on, they did sleep sharing a crib until middle of the night when wanting to nurse.

They turned 2.5 yr last week and they still share a crib. I don't have room for more than one crib and they don't fight in it usually. They still cosleep occasionally and do well with older siblings in bed too. I could have them on a twin mattress but no room for that either!

We have the crib sidecarred, but they don't actually use it yet. I keep thinking I'll put them in it when they are STTN, but it ust hasn't happened yet. At 16 months they are still waking to nurse. Hopefully by the time they are STTN they'll still fit in the crib together!!
