Master Cleanse question...

I just started the Master Cleanse. I really, REALLY have a hard time tolerating the cayenne pepper in the lemonade. I don't mind the heat so much, I just think it tastes like %^@#
Has anyone done the cleanse and either omitted the cayenne, or I wondered about taking a cayenne capsule instead of adding it to the lemonade...? I know that the benefit of the cayenne is for mucous, and I really do need that because I've battled sinus infections this winter. But I don't know if I'll be able to take the taste...

The cayenne is important for the overall effectiveness (yes, the mucus production and dissolving of buildup in your intestines) but you can start slow. Cut back on the amount you use, maybe start with 1/2 the recommended amount. Try to increase it as your tolerance allows.

I would not use the capsules because you are consuming a 'solid' (gelatin must be digested) which can be counterproductive to the effectiveness of the cleanse, not to mention retrigger your hunger feelings.
