I would love some non-disney, non-princess, non-violent, movies to show my daughter. We also want to avoid overly dramatic or overly commercialized shows (i.e. Dora, Thomas, or Curious George).
Dd is two, and my husband and I have decided that tv/movies in moderation are okay. But... we find ourselves editing pretty excessively. Even shows like The Muppet Movie need quite a bit of skipping through. Our daughter has a pretty developed ability to follow a story line (she listens to us read children's chapter books for 30 minutes at a time) so we would like to find some shows that she can watch without missing big sections.
We love "My Neighbor Totoro" and "Kiki's Delivery Service" (even though they are distributed by Disney). We also like the "Planet Earth" BBC series.
We would love some movies about nature, fairy tales (i.e. Three Bears, Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood), or any other imaginative productions.
