Help.....has anyone been in this situation (CMV)

One of my best friends had a preemie at 29 weeks, he only weighed 1.9 and was 12 inches. He is now 7 weeks old and weighs 3.11 pounds and is 15 inches long.

He's done well up to this point but now he is septic. They took xrays of him tonight and his lungs are dusky, he's on high oxygen but has been on no oxygen since birth so this is shocking to everyone.

They have tested him for everything but cant come up with anything, His tests for CMV come in tomorrow and if its not CMV then they are transfering him to Shands...........the hospital he is at now is a level 3 NICU, it's amazing and it's shocking that there is no more they can do for him.

I've had no personal experience with it, so no words of wisdom or advice; but I couldn't read and not respond! Just said a prayer for your friend's baby ((((hugs))))
