Shape Magazine

There was a lovely feature in this month's Shape magazine (I didn't see this already mentioned so I thought I would), called "What I Love About My Body". One page was of a Mom who loved her breasts because, "Instead of worrying about how my breasts look in a particular outfit, I consider them a beautiful and integral part of me" and the accompanying photograph was of a child breastfeeding.
The article would then go into more depth for each body part the women mentioned, and the woman who said she loved her breasts, Mara Bragg, went on to say, "Before giving birth to my son 20 months ago, I never would have imagined opening my shirt in a store or on the subway to feed my child" and "My breasts have helped my nourish and care for my son into toddlerhood" as well as, "This has been a sweet and gentle time to b ond, from the early days when my son needed nutrition, to later months, when he might nurse for comfort"

The woman has been in the news before for "lactivism" which I always admire, but it was nice to see something like this in a mainstreem magazine, and not being looked at as controversial or weird. It was just a woman breastfeeding and it was considered beautiful. Loved it!

I think there's a thread about this under lactivism.
