Everyone and the family dog

I'm feeling a bit crowded. Last night I had my husband, my 8 month old, my 2 year old, and two cats in our (queen-sized) bed and the dog right next to it licking himself all night. It's driving me crazy.

My 2 year old has a twin mattress right up against ours but every other night she wakes up at 4 am and gets in our bed. We try and lay down with her in hers, or let her fall asleep in ours and put her back in bed but she won't have it.

The 8 month old still nurses 2-3 times per night so it is easier for me to have her in bed with us, or on the twin with her sister where I can just grab her and pull her over.

The cats are just warmth seekers, but I CAN'T sleep with the door shut, we keep trying it. One of my cats will ONLY sleep ON me.

If the dog sleeps out of our room he gets up and roams the house in the middle of the night and his claws go clickity-click all over the house and I wake up. We had to get rid of his crate because we just didn't have the space and it is too cold for him to sleep in the garage.

Lately has been really rough, both girls have had a night cough for a month now and the baby is teething and up every 90 minutes. Of course every time either one of them coughs I pop awake to make sure they are okay.

Any suggestions, or encouragement? I'm going crazy over here.

ETA: Oh yeah, and it's a small room. There is just enough room for a queen and a twin and a small night table with a lamp. So it really is a bed ROOM

I had to kick the animals out of the bedroom because of allergies - it was a tough adjustment for everyone at first but it only took about a week for the animals to accept it & now I sleep much better (when ds allows me to!). Could you confine the dog to one area of the house with baby gates so he can't roam so much?
