Yeast ear infection?

I started having dizziness and tinitis a few weeks before my daughter was born in Nov. I chalked it up to late pregnancy and figured it would go away after the birth. No such luck. In fact, about a month after I gave birth, I had a dizzy spell so bad that the room tilted sideways for a few seconds and I fell.

Somewhere along the way, I figured out that I had an ear infection. I'm nursing and prone to vag yeast so I didn't bother going to the dr for antibiotics. I've cut sugar and wheat out of my diet (trying to eat better) and noticed an improvement in the dizziness and tinitis. On days when I do eat sugar or a lot of wheat, I have 1-2 days of dizziness afterward. I suspect my ear infection may be a yeast infection. Is this even possible? Suggestions? Great websites on dealing with/ diagnosing possible systemic yeast (no thrush yet with this babe)? There seems to be a lot of conflicting info (no fermented foods vs yes fermented foods, etc). out there.

when you say dizzy, is it the room spinning or light headedness?

it may be an allergy and wheat is causing inflammation; it could be that the crystals in your ear have been jostled and thats giving you vertigo (if its vertigo); it could be an inner ear infection; you may be grinding your teeth which may or may not be allergy related which is causing the tinnitus.

you might want to try a homeopathic route to clear the ear (apple cider vinegar solution or garlic oil) and see if that helps. the fact that the symptoms are disappearing and reappearing with wheat consumption would indicate an allergy or intolerance thats causing inflammation. also, a probiotic would be helpful if you are constantly dealing with yeast.

hth!
