EC and babywearing..

I know EC and babywearing go together like a horse and carriage (ok now that song will be stuck in my head...) and I've read of people having nakey butt kids in their carrier... ok.. HOW do you get them out to potty them and put them back easily?

I guess... what are the most poppable carries you've used?

I used a stretchy wrap (Moby wrap in our case) it was pretty easy in-and-out once I got the hang of it. It seems like a sling would be even easier, but I didn't have a sling that I liked, so the wrap it was!

I started using a Mei Tai style carrier with ds when he was about 8 months or so and used it until he was about 2 and half, and I found it very easy to pop him out...getting him back in was a bit trickier and I usually needed a second pair of hands, but getting him out was simple, I just undid the top tie and slid round to my hip and popped him out.

We don't do nakey bum in the carrier, but DD doesn't usually go while in the carrier. She'll squirm and demand to be set down first. I'm not sure she's ever pooped while being worn.

Now that I think about it, we only did nakey in the carrier for a short period of time. Up to a certain age (6 months?) she didn't go while being worn, once I figured out her cues. After that point, she did. I remember pee running down my back, as a matter of fact! So mostly I waterproofed once I realized she didn't have a problem peeing while being worn!

It's still nice to have easy in-an-out, for sure. Mei tei is easy, too. I don't know al the ins and outs of babywearing, for sure. I don't know the easiest option for back carry. Maybe sling again?

I use my sling a lot because it's the only place where my ds WILL cue. Otherwise I have to rely on timing and intuition. If I get off track, I'll pop him in the sling. Once he starts squirming, I take him to the potty and then I know he'll need another offer in 30 minutes or so.

I was JUST going to post she never pees in the wrap, and then she did. LOL but she wans't nakey, she had a non-waterproof thing on though, but it didn't ge to the wrap or me, it stopped at the diaper and jeans. lol. She's almost 11 weeks.

I find my Ergo easier than my mei tei.

We also have http://www.michikobaby.com/

it is really really easy but not the most comfortable for wearing a long time.
