Hello all,

I know I have read somewhere on mdc ideas for making a c/s more natural or giving mom some control in the situation. Does anyone have any info on this or have any ideas to share. That would be greatly appreciated - thank you!

Check out Birthing From Within, it has a good chapter on how to "own" the c-section and see it in a positive way.

In my Bradley class, one woman had to have a c-section because the baby was breech. She "owned" it by refusing to schedule, and waiting until labor started to go to the hospital for the c-section. She felt that would avoid having a premature birth, which is one risk of planned c-section. She got a lot of flack from her doctors about this, but she was very proud that she had allowed her body to determine when the baby should be born. Depending on the situation, that might be a thought.
