thank you everyone for all the suggestions!

I have seen a few of our favorites make some of the posts on here too

I also love the name Hazel for a girl but my dh says it is too old.

For a girl, all we have is Claudia. Personally I love the name. I have loved it since high school and have always fantasized about a daughter named claudia. I think thats the problem... I have loved it too long, its almost over used. I named a fish Claudia once, and my first car I named Claudia as well. Claudia Mercedes. But it has an awful meaning, and I am on the fence about it because of all of the above reasons.

As for boys, we have a short list of names we are very happy with. I really really hope its a boy I love my two girls, and they are fantastic, but for our last child I would love the opportunity to parent a boy.

I would be happy to share my list of boys names (there are only 4 on there! LOL!) as long as you guys promise not to use them until after our baby comes home and we decide which one to go with finally

I just remembered when my daughter was 23 months old, just before ds was born, she weighed in on the naming suggestions with "Urethra is a pretty name for a girl."

I think Claudia is lovely, and really...unless your name means something cool, who really cares about the meaning? I've had my name for 30-plus years and I STILL can't remember the exact meaning.

Hazel WOULD be fun, though. That was deep in the running for dd's name, and do you remember how dharmamama was pulling for it? I still sometimes wish we'd used it. She would have been an awesome little character of a Hazel.

You know, what about just pronouncing it the way it's pronounced in his home country and trying to maintain that as long as possible? That might be kinda cool, actually. I mean, I like M*****...I think it has some great sounds in it and it's very similar to popular names but NOT a popular name, yk? But yeah...if he could keep the original sound of it, I think that would be even cooler.

Yes I DO Remember! I love Hazel But I have to say I also love the name you chose for your dd. Its always been a favorite of mine but I have a close friend with it so I can't really use it.

I know that naming in adoption can be a sticky issue... I see all sides...

And have a hard time... because I agree with all sides. LOL!
I'd really like to keep or keep part of a child's given name... but I also think to fit in our family we want to give them a name too... they are all a gift.

So... depending on our child's given name... we will see.

Here is our name list... maybe for first or middle:

Girl-
Laurel
Louisa
Theadora (Thea)
Selah

Boy-
Ezra
Jude
River
Herschel
Philemon
