Will the cutie-pie babbling DD stop when she says her first words?

Nope. My son kept babbling until he was about 2.5, and he had hundreds of words by then!

DS has an great vocabulary for a 21 month old, thanks to two really loving and supportive day care providers, but he'll pick up books and pretend to read them to himself in babble. Way cute. Or in the car, he'll chatter away to himself and throw in real words. It's a progression of course. Once they're using actual words, a lot of the words that they try to say and mispronounce are the source of much humor and just as adorable as the babble was. In our house: noo-ness=noodles, muck-iss=music, ha-ka-da=helicopter.

You're going to be amazed at how fast her words start pouring out!

My daughter just turned 5 and has always been a HUGE talker, and pretty early on too... and even she still talks jibberish sometimes.

I highly doubt that will change anything for you guys for awhile.

They just incorporate early words into the babbling. Ba ba ba da ga da UP ba ba da. Which means something like, "Come over here and pick me up right now."

I don't think so. My 7 month old says "mama" but she babbles a lot too.
