Cold remedies?

Normally I'd just wait it out, but being pukey, having nerve pain (already!) and being flat out exhausted I'm a whiny, miserable mess. I want at least ONE of those things to go away and this one seems to be the easiest to eliminate.

Are decongestants okay? What about echinacea/elder berry teas?

I have read many times that echinacea is not recommended in pregnancy. Why - I couldn't tell you (maybe google could help there?)...I have yet to hear conflicting advice about that though so I have never just researched that further.

Homeopathic remedies do work and are completley safe for all the family in all stages of life! Give em a go! Your local health shop should have ready made 'specifics' - such as ones for 'cough and cold'. I buy New Era brand and, since using them (starting when DS was about 9 months old) - have yet to use any 'drugs' for us! Fabby!

My Doc says nothing other than tylenol. But to get some relief, why don't you boil some water, put it in a big bowl. then put your head over it (with a towel, making a little tent) and breathe in some steam?
I'm also a huge fan of ginger tea. Just get fresh ginger, chop up some slices (lots of big ones - and if your bruise them a bit they'll release more ginger goodness) then add boiling water and some honey. It always makes me feel better.
Good luck!
