Two in the family bed (soon!)

We have a family bed. My daughter is 19 months old and sleeps in a co-sleeper to start and then gets in bed and sleeps next to me in the night. We will add her little sister to the lovely mix in April. Am a little concerned that my toddler will pounce on the baby or that my DH will roll over on her so I'm looking at those little nests but I'm concerned that there are no organic or natural choices. Does anyone have any advice about this. I'm looking at this http://www.babyearth.com/baby-deligh...ggle-nest.html. It has a foam padding and I'm not sure about the off gassing issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If you need to off-gas, buy early and leave it in the garage if you're in a cold area or outside if you're in a warm area so it vents. I would give it at least 2 weeks of venting based on my experience and even then it'll still smell a little for several months.

I bought an organic mattress for my Arm's Reach co-sleeper http://www.armsreach.com/shop-3/natu...nd-organics-9/ However, it doesn't have the pads so one doesn't roll on her. I had a preemie between DH and I and we had put a hugger mugger bolster http://www.huggermugger.com/ bet/DH and DS just in case. Nothing else. Maybe you could use a combo of the two with a small crib bedsheet to combine the two, mattress and bolster snuggly.

Needless to say, the mattress wound up on the changing table since we didn't use the mini-co-sleeper that long and the bolster is still in use now by DH and I for other things.
