notice that her one over 100 was at 19dpo!

at 15dpo (which is a day further than you right?) was only 53... that's a 4 day difference and not even a 150% raise...

I talked to her today shes still doing well and next week goes in for another blood test and ultrasound.

AFM - Got my Doppler today! I'm glad because DF just told me this morning he doesn't get to go to the midwife appointment (hes heartbroken, he was really looking forward to it... but he has to go to the rifle range that week)

it took me about 15 minutes but I found the heartbeat (175!) so I'm hoping to find it faster tonight so he can hear it... to make him feel better about missing the appointment.

I just told the nurse I didn't want to come in on Friday, if it wasn't doubling, then there isn't anything they can do anyway, and it would just stress me out even more. I can't sleep as it is. So I'm going to go back in on Monday and see what the levels are. I'll be 19dpo then. I think I'm going to sign out for a while and just try and relax about this whole thing. If it IS a viable pregnancy, this cannot possibly be helping.

Oh honey! You're right- and this early pregnancy stuff, when we've waited soooo long is just so stressful. I'm so sorry that you're going through this. I am such a numbers person too, so I can understand how uncertain you might feel. But, it's still really early-- and in the early days of pregnancy, we're really talking about a matter of HOURS... so, what doesnt double in 48 hours might double in 96, but maybe that little emby is just taking his or her time to settle in there.
at 12DPO, you could have only been like 3 days past implantation, or even less...! so, give that little one time to get used to sticking around. I hope that the nurse gives you some reassurance that everything will turn out just fine.

huge s to you, deep breaths and lots of meditation on how sticky and wonderful this pregnancy IS. And if you need to take a few days off from us, we'll understand! You need to take care of yourself! And what Jill and some of the other BSLs said that helped me, to meditate on, "Today, I am PREGNANT!!" there's something to rejoice!!!

Nanette-- please please try not to let the tests bother you. Every woman is SO incredibly different and the "normal" levels are so varied. I personally did not get any tests like that bc I would have freaked out I bet if my tests were not "normal". y: Plus, as other women have said a matter of hours can make a huge difference.

Thanks ladies I'm not stressing anymore. I am pregnant dammit! And I'm not letting stupid numbers ruin this moment. I probably won't have another one after this, and I'm going to enjoy every second! Anyway- cool story. I was so upset yesterday, I didn't go to my kickboxing class with my girlfriends. My girlfriend called yesterday and said she was very happy I didn't come. Apparently a guy was using the bag that I ALWAYS use, and the chain snapped and the bag (all 150 pounds of it) collapsed on top of him...(He was unhurt) So someone's watching out for me! Anyway, I'm in very good spirits today. Thanks again for all the encouragement! Hope everyone's feeling good, or not feeling good, whatever makes you happy

Nanette56 - Numbers would have stressed me out too... I so hope that all continues to go wonderfully right. Continue with that positive thought pattern - today you are pregnant!

Just here in our thread, Lyndzies' test at the docs came up negative (after the super-duper positive at home)... and Maeryn's tests were always faintly positive until well after 14 dpo... so don't let yourself fret too much - its all so different!

Lauren31 - Thanks for the pix of your beautiful baby girl! Once MIL leaves, be sure to share with us all of Adelynn's updates. How is she nursing and sleeping so far?

LZP -

I know that this one isn't finished baking yet, but do you and your dimpled DH think that you'll try for another after Caleb? (maybe it's too soon to ask this, but I was just curious..)
Funny of you to ask! You know, we probably will not try. I told DH if I get the baby bug again once Caleb is 3 or 4 to get me a puppy. I just don't think logistically we could swing it. I still need to work at home (nearly impossible with TWO). We technically have three kids and need all four bedrooms, what if baby #2 together ends up being a girl - where would she sleep? But mostly... I don't think my sanity could handle it! So once I'm done BF-ing Caleb I will most likely go back on the BCP. I'm okay with it. I am overjoyed and so happy to be able to have one together with my DH. I guess I'm aware of my limitations... and that's about all I can handle. Hopefully there won't be any oopsies while I'm BF-ing... because that would really send me to the nuthouse. I certainly do not feel capable of raising little ones that close together.

MaerynPearl - It would have been so fun to have a Doppler to use at home! Enjoy!

Pinoikoi - So DP wants dimples & curls? No chance of curls here. Dimples and blue eyes maybe. Unlikely, but there is a tiny-itty-bitty chance!

AFM - All is going okay. My reflux is just horrible. I am constantly burping (or otherwise) and just feel pretty gross most days - especially by the end of the day. If it wasn't for my once a day Pepcid AC I don't think I'd be able to handle life at all. Okay, my daily whine is now over.

And a funny to add... carrying a baby boy has made me hairy-er! My tummy has sprouted all kinds of longish fuzzy hair (where I already was sort of fuzzy anyway). Its lovely and so ladylike. I really hope it goes away post-baby!

Hi to everybody else... and back to work for me!

lisko I really really hope your little one comes on his due date lol (check my sig for why )

AFM McDonalds had a big sign out front that they have their shamrock shakes. FINALLY! I have been waiting over a month since I got the craving for a mint chocolate shake. They wouldnt mix one for me so I bought two smalls and mixed them at home. DD thinks this is the best day ever because she got half of it lol.

I know you didn't mean this rudely, but I need to point out that this term is not very polite. There was a discussion and links on it (and other terms) here:

Hi to everybody else... and back to work for me!
Lis, I have dark hair as it is... so even peach fuzz shows up on my abdomen. I (not so) secretly hope this is a boy in here, but really hope he doesnt decide to make me hairy-er. !!! I'll be at the salon getting waxed from head to toe if that becomes the case!

Nanette, I am SO SOSOSOSOSOOSOSOSOSOSO glad to hear that you're feeling positive today. What a bummer yesterday was, but looks like you've totally settled into a good place. . yay! Lis is right, there were all kinds of scary numbers out there- remember my progesterone went from 38 to 9.7 and back to only 15... in the span of 2 weeks... and so far so good over here. those numbers are good for some, but man do I wish I werent so dependent on specifics to give me confidence. looks like you've already graduated from that!!

AFM, I scheduled my anatomy scan today!!! I'm so excited. It's Mar 12 at 2PM. DH and I will go there, and then go for a nice late lunch at our fave diner. (after I pee for like 20 minutes of course) I am so excited!

Lis, you reminded me that i have to schedule a lip wax. my hair seems to be growing more slowly everywhere except my head. its a nice change.

I agree with the first lady to reply to you on that thread though, I come from an Irish background and in my family (specifically my great grandmother who was from Ireland and moved here) its not insulting at all but is actually something they strived for.

Wow Pin- thanks for the thread link. I got SUCKED into it like a youtube loop. I had no idea about the origins of many of those words. I had never heard the of the term "Irish twins" before so I've never been in danger of using it. Very enlightening. Thanks!

Sorry Pinoikoi. I didn't mean it to be offensive. I was simply using the term as a way to convey that I truly couldn't handle having an oops that close in age to my upcoming DS. I figured it got my point across best. However, I did edit my initial post.

I have friends of Irish descent (and Catholic) that use the term, so I guess I just didn't consider that it would be impolite. If you really find it offensive to read, you may want to edit your reply post as well.

I think a lot of Irish families strived for large families, but the term was apparently invented by British people not of Irish descent to describe Irish.

I linked this in the other thread.. about the origin of the term.

wheeeeee, a snow day!!!! lisko, are you gonna go play in the snow, too?
We were enjoying looking at brown grass last week, but got dumped on yesterday... they haven't called me for a snow day yet, though.. and I think their time limit was about 5 minutes ago.. (contractually they have to notify me by 5).
oh man, all the stars need to align to get a snow day in our area. The snow has to be raging down at JUST the right time, like between 3 and 6am. I think we got about a foot since midnight, but I have to go check for sure, and it's still snowing at 9am! It's so pretty! Sorry you have to work, Pinoikoi. That always bums me out, when I'm hoping for one and it doesn't happen. I TOTALLY didn't think we'd get it today. The forecasters almost always exaggerate.

K, I'm just a teensy bit jealous of you guys and your snow. I have never ever seen snow. What I wouldn't give for a snow day in Central FL, just one!

HA! Ok, I would totally trade for just ONE day of warm weather and sun in February. But I know when I lived in LA I missed snow. How, never seen snow? Come on over!

LZP - I will be almost as excited for your anatomy scan as I was for mine! Can't wait to hear!!!! Its so soon!

Tear78 - DD was so excited for her snow day! Every single school area-wide had a snow day... it was crazy!

I, however, work on Fridays, so off to work I went. I am the biggest baby about driving in the bad weather though... so my Dad brought me in. DH works very close by and can bring me home (he just goes in very early).

It is very, very out though!

Nanette56 - You've never seen snow?

Wow. That's crazy. Maybe Tear and I can share some pix with you!

AFM - I've been having the strangest abdominal symptoms this pgcy. I really think a month or so postpartum I'll need to get myself checked. I've always had a somewhat irritable bowel (since my pgcy with DD), but its 10 times worse with this pgcy. I can go from gassy, bloated, constipated, crampy, burpy, to even unfortunately, "having the runs" all in one day. <sigh> Its worth the baby at the end... but if it continues to be worse once he's here, I will really need to do something about it!

YAY for your snow day!!!!
When i was in school, we NEVER got snow days. Like maybe 6 in the 12 years in school. The kids around here this winter have been out of school more than in school in February!!! They had off yesterday and today- and we barely have 5 inches in this area. (Though I think after 2 weeks ago, they're a little gun shy!) I had to come into work today too. BOO. I did institute a self-proclaimed late arrival though- i came in at 10. Just could NOT get out of bed today!!! You and Lisko are definitely getting it worse than we are this time around... but we still have a foot on the ground from 2 weeks ago!

I'm with everyone else- I'd give anything to get just one 70 degree day in Feb!

I hope your tummy gets better! that must be so frustrating. And I really hope it clears itself up after Caleb comes, or at least subsides to "tolerable' not that an IB is ever really tolerable!

I've been OK since I started having a blueberry smoothy every morning- 1cup of blueberries, 3/4 c yogurt, and a little shot of juice. delicious, and keeps things "moving" nicely. Now if only i could convince myself to eat more veggies. I'm seriously stressing about my lack of consumption of items of the green variety. I think I spend most of my time that I'm eating also feeling guilty that there arent veggies involved- and repulsed by the thought at the same time.... oh man.
what do old wives tales say about that?!

So, has anyone else been having increasingly weird dreams? just a few days ago, my vivid dreams have become even more intense, and often are scary or really sad... they wake me and i have trouble falling back to sleep. Maybe that's why I'm so tired in the morning?
