Last month I came here for ideas about space for an advanced space guy. The ideas were fabulous and we have enjoyed many of them.

Our next goal is to study rocks. I took a geology class in college and loved it. My son is taking a rafting trip this summer where the focus will be geology.

The only things we currently have available is rocks. A friend is letting us borrow her labeled collection.

I am interested in books to read together and also ways to explore the rocks. I want to be able to test them to figure out what they are (scratch test, etc).

Any other ideas would be awesome.
