Will I ever NOT be starving?

DD is almost 14 months I am still in constant pursuit of feeling FULL! I don't even remember what that is like. I know I need to snack more but I just keep thinking it will get better (I don't know why I would think that since she still nurses every 3-4 hours). For lunch I just ate a ham sandwhich, 4 pickles, a bunch of grapes and a bottle of ice tea and I am famished still! This of course makes me crave junk but since I don't keep it in the house I can't give in to temptation all that often. I was REALLY bad off when I had to cut dairy, soy and eggs for about 8 months due to sensitivities (hats off to all who do that for their babies - it is HARD) but at least then I lost some weight which has slowly been creeping back since. I still restrict dairy for both of us to minimal but other than that I eat "normal" but am starving all day long. Ugh, sorry for the rambling just frustrated. Does this ever get better?

It does eventually get better, really. I will suggest that you consider looking hard at what you are eating to see if the hunger feeling isn't your body requesting something specific like more protein- nursing moms need extra protein.

I totally sympathize! I just try to eat as fresh as possible and and frequently as possible- I try to never go more then 4 hours or i end up eating crap/getting a headache. This is coming from a non-veg very meat and potatoes kind of person. Speaking of... I am really hungry and going to go heat up some taco soup and brown rice.
