I just had my test for gestational diabetes done, and passed with flying colors. However, I have a high level of Hemoglobin F (3%, when it should be less than 2%).

I've always been anemic, so this isn't all that strange, but the midwife said this is an indicator of Thalassemia trait. While my midwife does not think I have this, my level is "not normal."

She wants me to see a hematologist, which I will be doing, but I wonder if anyone out there has received a similar result with their pregnancy blood work. Thanks for any feedback!
