Huge bags under dd`s eyes

Hi mamas,

I am concerned about my 8mo dd`s eyes. She wakes up every morning with severe bags under her eyes. She sleeps ok....we co-sleep so even though she wakes every 2 hours she is nursed right back to sleep. People who see her anytime before noon ask if she is feeling ok because her eyes look so puffy. She is still bf and is super bright and happy so I would really not say she is unwell. She also rubs her eyes a lot...does this sound like allergies or do other mamas out there have babies like this. I am so scared that is allergic to something. Please help!

That totally sounds like allergies. I'd get her checked out or tested for allergies.

Does she nap?

Allergies. I just read something in the allergy forum about the bags under the eyes being an allergy symptom.

Thank you for the replies...even though I am so scared right now. Ds is not allergic to anything and it makes life very easy in that regard. I will do some more research. Isn`t she too young for allergy testing

Allergies. She is too young for testing. It may be a food (you or she) is eating, or it could be environmental (like mold or pet.) Try keeping a diary of her symptoms. Start reading around the allergy forum for baby allergy symptoms-they can include spitting up, rubbing eyes, mucous in stool, green stool. If you notice that she has most of her symptoms upon waking then look at the bedding, do you have feather pillows or blanket, wool blankets (my DS is allergic to wool and I didn't catch it until he was 3!), old mattress?
