Chiro after baby is engaged?

This is probably a stupid question, but this is the first pregnancy I've seen a chiro during. I went about 6 times for SPD and haven't been back since 1/4 because we couldn't afford anymore visits. But we can now manage for me to go back one more time. I was going to call and make an appointment tomorrow since I could really use it right now, but I wondered if it makes a difference if you're adjusted once the baby is already engaged in the pelvis? Baby isn't even "floating" much at this point, definitely engaged (and LOA, so positioned well), so I don't want to cause him/her to move or anything.

I had adjustments all through both my pregnancies. My first engaged at the 36 week mark and the second around the 39 week mark. I had an adjustment once a week. I found that after I had adjustments(at the end of my pregnancy) they would engage even more and often they would find a better position. This was my experience!

Take Care and good luck!!

yes, I am having the same experience. If anything, I think it helped baby engage more fully and stay in a good position. I am 38 w 4 days now and still going weekly...

I'm a DC & married to one, so I can get adjusted pretty much whenever I feel like I need it.

It is perfectly fine to get adjusted once the baby has engaged, docs just modify their technique - the farther along you get.

BTW - women who have had chiropractic adjustments throughout their pregnancies typically have much shorter labours (especially shortened transition time).
