Does anyone here have any experience with sudden sensorineural hearing loss? Just over two weeks ago, a good friend suddenly and completely lost hearing in one of her ears and has been dealing with pretty awful tinnitus in that ear since. The doctors she has seen have told her she may not regain any hearing in that ear and don't have much else to offer. Some quick research on my part pointed to possible autoimmune or inflammatory causes. She is cutting gluten to see if that has any effect, but is sort of at a loss from there.
