the tile is pretty much it.

pre-school or Kindy level Bible Time-line / history text?

Looking for a Bible Time-line or History book / text / activity book that is Kindy or pre-school (older) level.

Not looking for a book of Bible Stories, we have them, and not really looking for a Children's Bible (have them too ).

Wanting something more "teaching histroy" -- breaking it down in time, noting years and locations of events / peoples, maybe compareing this and this happening at the same time.

Any suggestions?

I think that is a kind of advanced topics for that age range. Time is a hard thing to grasp and pretty abstract. So unless he understands the calendar well and can think abstractly I' not sure how much he would retain???

Wow, I think that'd be hard- especially since different church bodies consider different events to have happened at different times, and different books to have been written by various people in a wide span of time. Maybe check out http://evlogia.typepad.com/evlogia/ and her year of grace plans? She's Orthodox Christian and uses their calendar, FYI.

not looking for anyting really deep. More or less what would be used in a Sunday School class room -- even cartoon-ie is fine. Just kinda an over view.

We have made a time line of our own of Bible Heros and he gets "order" if not the differnce in 100 vs 500 years.

I am a firm believer is exposing them to more than they can rally retain over and over again -- so when they are older and have the ablity to retin more the have a frame work to hang the data upon and thus can learn more adn it is not all new, but is vaguely fimliar to them. Maybe it won't work, but it is how we approach stuff with them. Ask me in 10 years it if worked at all. LOL

Thanks, I'll keep looking.

check out Pandia Presses timelines.....I don't know what you ascribe to historically, but they have 6000 b.c. to the present, and then you can buy 2 million bc to 6000 separately.

Mystery of History. Adaptable. I have a 1st grader and a Pre-K...both enjoy it. We don't cover dates, this is only the first time through (we're expecting to go through it three times between now and high school...there are three different levels with each lesson). So, for instance, we learn about the Shang Dynasty about the same time as Joshua & Jericho.
