Need child psychologist recommendation

Hi, can anyone recommend a child psychologist, social worker, or family therapist who is very gentle and compassionate, and AP-supportive? They need to accept insurance, and be in the Silver Spring area or NW DC. Knowledge of natural remedies would be a huge plus, but not required.

Thanks- I have a list of names from the ped but don't know anything about them and do not have time to make a lot of calls to figure out what they are like, where they're located, if they take insurance, etc.

I guess Ellicot city would be too far?
A good friend of mine is an experienced child psychologist. Not a mama yet, but VERY AP-friendly, very anti-spanking, etc.

yes, unfortunately that is too far for me : ( Between the preschool drop off/pick up, and a baby who screams in the car, I have to keep my driving within a pretty small radius! Thanks for the recommendation though- now it'll be available for anyone else to see who's searching!

I know this thread is waaaay old, but I was wondering if you ever found a therapist you liked?  We are currently looking for someone with similar qualities
