I'll sign up too! I'm not sure if I'll need someone to update for me since we'll be at home and I can just grab the laptop, but in case of emergency and going to the hospital...and of course I would love to update for someone else.

I'm due sometime around 4/24 according to the midwife. 4/22 according to an early ultrasound. DD was born a full week early, so we'll see what happens!

How far from the birth center do you live? Im on the airbase and sometimes (with traffic) it can take up to 25mins to get there, my labor with DS was pretty short-im scrared of a 'car delivery'

I'm afraid of a car delivery too. I lived on base with dd and got to the birth center trying not to push! They had time to fill the tub (cause i just can't get comfy and the only place i'm moving was the tub!) and i got in and pushed. watch out for the speed bumps....seriously both of you tell your drivers explicitely that those speed bumps should be taken literally at half a mile an hour. i do live about half an hour away now as well.

cece's mom~ are you delivering WITH the midwives at tmc? cause if your just going to go with an OB instead I *think* from what i've heard tmc isn't going to be the greatest. however if your trying to stick with the mw then of course that's the only option.

would either of you ladies want to do something together? i've never seen someone else in labor and am kinda curious. i still need to find someone to watch my kids but i also want someone to take lots of pictures and videos of this birth. i never can get any!

I'm due April 17 but I seem to get later and later with each one. The last one was two weeks late, so I'm thinking closer to May 1.

Danielle, I have no choice but to go with an OB. I have diabetes and hypertension; I risked out of a midwife birth. My OB's cool, though, and is on board with my natural, drug-free birth. I'm still disappointed I can't have a birth center or a home birth, but I will make the best of what I have. My sister is my doula and she will advocate pretty hard for me!

Sounds good to me! This will be our second bio child, fourth newborn to care for, all girls! You could def call me a seasoned mother as far as newborns are concerned, lol!

I am due 4/18 and am a hospital vbac w/ midwives.

I just wanted to add that I am planning a second HBAC. I am kind of scared about this one b/c I had bad posterior labor/birth last time and the pain was awful. I am concerned it will happen again but I am trying not to focus on it.

I'm in. Due April 30th, hoping to go on my due date. My pregnancies have been getting progressively shorter and shorter.. the last one was only 3 days overdue. This will be baby number four. Second Hypnobabies homebirth.

I don't really anticipate needing someone to do a lot of updating (though you never know!), but I'd love to help someone out.

I'm in. I'm either due April 19th or 22nd, not sure which date my midwife is going with? This is #2 for me. DD was an induced hospital birth and this time we're doing a home waterbirth.
