6 yr old with mercury fillings...wwyd?

It just clicked a few days ago...my daughter is showing SO many symptoms of mercury poisoning from the mouthful of cavities she has. It is so upsetting b/c I knew better but they talked me into it and when I asked if there was mercury in the fillings they gave me a blank look.

They've been in her mouth for 3 years now. Some of her teeth are starting to get loose, but the fillings are in the molars, so those will be there for quite a while I guess.

I've read a bit that extracting them can be very harmful, too...should I just wait for them to fall out, or should I have them removed? Ugh. I'm so mad at myself.

You can contact Dr. Hal Huggins office and they can refer you to a dentist in your area that is trained in the proper amalgam removal protocol. This is his web site: http://www.hugginsappliedhealing.com/

If it were me, knowing what I know now, I'd get them out asap and start learning about oral chelation. If your daughter is having trouble with mercury now, she needs to get it out of her brain, and the ways that I know to do that are not safe while amalgams are still in the mouth. She's young and her brain is still developing, there's a big upside to getting the mercury out now rather than waiting til she's older.

There's a Chelating Mamas thread in this forum, I've written a lot there about my story. The short form is that my family is prone to not excreting the mercury from our amalgam fillings and I accumulated enough from my amalgams that it was a real health problem for my kids. They're 3 and 6 now and I'm chelating them, I want the mercury out of their brains now while they're young. They've both got health and behavioral manifestations of the mercury.

If your daughter is prone to this, consider carefully whether one or more other people in the family are also prone to health problems due to mercury.

The autism-mercury yahoo group is a good place to lurk and learn. There are some good healthcare providers who can help with chelation, I've got a great one who's been an enormous help to me, but it's really a buyer beware situation, some HCPs give really bad advice. Educate yourself.
