Any recipes using red and/or black rice?

My husband went to this wonderful fair trade shop a while back and brought me all kinds of unusual rices, including a box of organic Thai red rice (unhulled) and another of organic Thai black rice (Khao Nim). There seem to be recipes on the boxes but they are in Italian and I have long forgotten my Italian
I've made a quick google search but haven't come across to any exciting recipes.
Has anybody used these kind of rices before? I'd appreciate your recipes and any cooking tips you might have to offer me!

(Right now I have two cups of red rice soaking in filtered water with a bit of raw apple cider vinegar)

Try searching under "forbidden rice" for the black rice. We love this dish:

I'll be watching for ideas on the red rice.

This sounds yummy, I'll be certainly trying this soon!

At the moment I have my red rice cooking in a big Le Creuset pot with whatever veggie I had on hand (onions, red and green peppers, courgettes and oyster mushrooms, all lightly fried in CO). I also added sea salt and a bit of curry powder.

We're hoping to enjoy this with goats-milk yogurt and a salad, if it turns out edible that is

Yummm - that salad looks so good! I eye the black and red rices in our Asian grocery store all the time, but have never bought them. I'll be watching for more ideas.

with black rice, we usually cook just a bit of black rice normally with some white rice. It turns everything purple and gorgeous. (we don't normally eat white rice, but since we transitioned to brown, haven't had any black rice to try, not sure if it works with brown.)

Update: it was absolutely delicious!!! Even my very picky toddler enjoyed it
Red rice has a sweet nutty flavour and it matched perfectly with the vegetables and the mild curry powder.
And I made a sort of tasty dressing (the idea was to make tzatziki but I did not have cucumber and the goat's milk yogurt was a bit runny - I usually use a thick sour sheep's yogurt for tzatziki) with garlic, olive oil and fresh dill that was really good with the rice.

My DS also brought a very fragrant brown Thai Jasmine rice was very tasty with a chick-pea curry I made a few days ago, highly recommended if you can find it!

This is what we do too.
