3 inconveniently timed pees

i've noticed that my boy pees in threes. (he is only 5 weeks old so i'm guessing this isn't a start and stop thing) If i get him to the potty for one of the three, i've usually missed the other two because they are spaced far enough apart that i can't potty him for that long at once, but close enough together that i would be taking him to the potty every 4 minutes or so which will make him fuss and me exhausted.

so...my question is what should i expect in the future? will i always need to get him to the potty 3 times in 10 minutes or once he is more consistent with going on cue will be hold it until and go all at once?

I loved the title of your post! My prediction is that it will change. It'll change about the time you get used to it and probably are catching all three pees! The pees do become more spaced out as they get older. I just want to say awwwwww, a five week old!!!!

tiny baby!

Also, continue using a pee signal like "pss" eventually you'll be able to use that to help encourage a bit of pushing to get it all out.
