My son was recently diagnosed with HSP. It is a rare blood disorder that causes a purple rash that almost looks like bruising. It also causes temporary rheumatoid arthritis and vomiting or diarrhea. This all followed an upper respiratory infection. When I came looking for answers on MDC, I found just one thread which is now closed and was started by someone no longer active, so I wanted to post this in case another mother, in her panic, is looking for support and answers. The first four days were scary and hard, but things are looking up. I have educated myself on the condition and I believe we are on the mend.
