How warm is your house? - Page 3

68 (20 oC) during the day and about 54 (12 oC) at night (but upstairs it is prob a bit warmer) in winter. In summer no airco during the day and 77 during the evening, turning it off before the night.
However both my kids were born in summer. I think with a newborn in the winter I would have wanted it a bit warmer at night.

We're set for 68 during the day and 65 at night, but DH often bumps it up to 70 or 71 in the evenings. I wouldn't mind it a smidge warmer, but heating oil costs an arm and a leg!

because we live in apartment attached to the house of our landlady we don't pay for heat (although we are mindful of it because we have had to pay for it in the past) our apartment is not well insulated and so we have to keep the heat about 70 day and night just to keep it modestly warm. I can handle the cold and if we didn't have DD it would be at about 60 or 65 but I don't feel like keeping DD bundled up all the time, our bedroom also gets very cold so we sometimes turn the heat up at night.

With a newborn we kept it at 72. Even in sweaters and blankets he was cold. Now that he's a more substantial 3 month old I programmed the thermo for 68, though I will kick it up to 70 if it feels like there's a chill in the air.
