Discovery Plus Streaming

I just sold an expensive photography lens, so I have some spare cash. I was thinking of splurging on Discovery Plus Streaming (through Homeschool Buyer's Coop).

Does anyone have this? Some of you lucky people get it free if you live in the right state. Would you think it is worth $200/year?

We finally started using BrainPop Jr. but my daughter wants MORE. I hope to use something for history and science supplements, and I hear Discovery Plus has great Spanish learning videos.

hey angela,
we live in SC and get it for free. if satori enjoys videos, than yes, i believe it is worth the $200. we use it all of the time and my kids love it. everything is divided by grade & subject. you can search for video clips, full videos, lesson plan go-alongs, etc. honestly, there is SOOOO much - you will probably feel overwhelmed at first. well worth it imho. hth.

ETA - if you got an adaptor so the computer can play on the TV, it would even be cooler! just a thought.

This sounds intriguing, which states offer it for free? I live in Massachusetts!!

I did it! I splurged! And already I can tell it is soooo worth it!!! My daughter and I are so thrilled.

It is free in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, and South Carolina.

Here's more info, it's $199 for an annual subscription on Homeschool Buyers Co-op, normally it is $375 for homeschoolers.
