what do you feed your sea monkeys?

so my 7 year old son has sea monkeys that have outlived the packet of sea monkey food by 2 months. i have no where even remotely close to me where i could buy the sea monkey brand food, and i have been unable to find any online sources in canada.

aside from ordering it from the sea monkey place in the US, have any of you successfully fed sea monkeys food other than what came with the starter package?

Sea monkeys are brine shrimp. I raised them to feed to my bettas, but I never fed them because they got eaten pretty much immediately upon being hatched.

Google says they eat this: http://www.google.com/products/catal...405&sa=title#p

You could try putting their tank in a sunny area to see if it'll grow algae that they can eat, too? That was one of the suggestions I saw.

thanks ... i've googled a lot
well they are living off something because they haven't had food for 2 months. some sites suggested spirulina but man it is so expensive. they do get light right now, and there is some algae and lots of green stuff on the bottom of the tank so maybe that's all they need.
