I ran into a woman the other day, mentioned I was in nursing school, and she said she was a retired nurse. She said she did OB and also did circumcisions. Thinking this was a great chance to educate, I said that less people are doing those these days, and the AAP does not recommend routine ones anymore and insurance doesn't always pay for them. She then said, "I wonder if that's why there are so many gay people these days-- because they were not circumcised!"
She was older and from another generation. I just wonder how many people still have these kinds of thoughts-- I get the racial stereotypes a lot from older people, too.

, but I suppose someone should tell all those parents in the rest of the world they're at risk of turning their sons gay!
