Ambivalent Nurser?

Hi ladies! I'm currently nursing #2, but she's sort of dropping off alot and is nursing about 3 times a day. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I'm getting the feeling she's going to drop off a little more as her walking improves, and I'm really not sure how I feel about it. She's on milk now and is happy nursing OR drinking from a cup, so I think it's up to me more than it is her. I just don't know how long I want to go. Some days I feel like I'd love to nurse her to two, other days I'm so ready to be done.

Am I the only one who feels this way? I'm afraid I'll miss it when we're done, but...I guess the grass is always greener? I love nursing her, but we're all so busy that most of the time it feels like an afterthought more than a bonding moment. Our morning nursing session is always wonderful and quiet, but hte day gets going and it just takes over. Is it possible to just keep the morning session and go like that for another year? I don't know that I had planned on going past a year, but I like th way things are going. I just don't know how I feel!

Why not just let it happen naturally? That is what happened with my son...one day I suddenly realized that he hadn't nursed quite a while. It was such a slow, easy transition. At 15 months he was nursing 2 to 3 times per day and that sloooowly dropped to 1 to 2 times per day, then once every other day or so, then once or twice a week. He was 22 months when I realized he was done. He never asked to nurse again.
