Yep! definitely possible!
DS gradually went from sort of napping all day in the sling or swing to just two discernable long naps by three months, which incidentally coincided with sleeping through the night for 10+ hours.
He started phasing out the second nap at ten months when cruising began and by the time he was walking at 11 months he was down to one two or three hour nap in the middle of the morning, but was sleeping 12+ hours at night.
By 2.5 years old he had zero interest in naps (believe me, I tried EVERYTHING to rekindle those days), but on the plus side, he slept like a teenager in a coma at night. He has always been a super active kid, so once he started getting mobile, there was no interest in sleeping through life. I dread the day he discovers why grown-ups drink coffee.

Is your LO starting to walk, too, by any chance?
