Prenatal vitamin ?

The only pill I can reliably get into me every day is a B-Complex formula with folic acid. Some days I can stomach a prenatal, some days I can't. How bad is this? I try to eat a pretty balanced diet, but I am also not very hungry right now (10w2d). When I had a stomach virus last weekend, I didn't take prenatals, B complex or eat for one full day, and then no vitamins and very bland food for a couple days after.

i was told that what is really important is taking your vitamins before you get pregnant.. the baby will take what it needs, and your body will suffer for not taking them, not the baby.. (in most cases) so for me, once the morning sickness really sets in, i can't always get them or keep them down, i don't worry about it.. i try to take extra folic acid if i can't get my big vitamin down for 2 days in a row.. with my DS i didn't even try to take my vitamins after about 6 weeks (he is perfectly healthy) with DD (also just fine) i got to 8 weeks with flintstones because i could chew them, but they made me feel sicker.. i'm 7.5 weeks now and i'm still trying really hard i'm taking a new brand so they don't upset my stomach but .. its swallowing the pill that is hard for me right now .. the reason i'm trying so hard this time is because i've had some bloodwork done that reflected the fact that i've been pregnant and/or breastfeeding for over 4 years.. and that made me nervous, i'm trying to not let my body get more depleted of resources it needs..

I sympathize with you. Vitamins of any kind have always been hard for me to stomach. The size and taste gags me. My doctor suggested taking it with an 8 oz glass of milk or juice to take away the taste. You gotta drink down the whole glass though cause otherwise it feels like it's lodged in your throat which makes me gag and throw up. You might try this if you haven't already.
