DD is 23 months and has been wearing underwear or trainers full-time during the day since she was a year old. She's been in underwear all the time except at night since about 18 months, and I seriously could count on one hand the number of misses we've had out of the house since then...we semi-regularly would have one miss a day in the evening when DH and I were both tired and not really paying attention. And then...today happened.
This morning she peed in her pants before I even got her dressed. After that I just...had a bad feeling, so I put a pair of trainers instead of underwear on her before we left the house. She peed in the trainers before we even got out the door. THEN she peed again an hour later. Luckily I had put an extra pair of trainers in my bag--usually I only have one spare pair, and we never use it--so I changed her trainers again. Then an hour later she peed AGAIN in her trainers. We had to come home because we were out of dry clothes. It was just...so weird. This hasn't happened in...well, forever.
There are plenty of reasons I can think of why this is happening: she started preschool about a month ago (that's probably not it, though)...the night before last we started nightweaning...and this morning she ate grapefruit for the first time.
Which of those would you suspect the most? I'm leaning toward the grapefruit, but she was up for two hours in the middle of the night last night because of nightweaning.
Not crying, just having a hard time going back to sleep without nursing. So she might be peeing a lot because she's overtired.
Ok, thanks--just needed to vent a little. Now that I've thought it through, I strongly suspect the grapefruit. I'll keep that in mind for the future.
