How much does your 6 month old sleep?

My girls didn't sleep at this age so I have no idea what is a "normal" amount to sleep!

My daughter just turned 7 months and she sleeps about 10-11 hours at night (wakes up 1-5 times to nurse) and takes a morning nap (1 hr~ish) and an afternoon nap (1-3 hours). I think she may be on the higher end of sleeping time, but my son was the same way.

Thanks! DS is 6.5 months and sleeps 12 hours at night (wakes 3-5 times to nurse) and gets up around 9:30. He usually is up for 2 hours, sleeps for 2 hours, up for 2 hours, sleeps for 2 hours, up for 2 hours, takes a quick "pre-bedtime nap", up for 2 hours and then goes down for the night. It seems like he sleeps an awful lot

My DD is 5.5mo.. She sleeps 11-12 hours at night and takes 3-4 naps per day. Each nap ranges from 45min to 3h, depending on the day. She sleeps roughly 16 hours per day.

Usually 11 hours at night, 4 hours for daytime naps, usually 3 naps.

6.5 month old sleeps 11 hours at night (nurses during night, maybe 4 or 5 times). usually takes 3 naps - 2 short ones 30-45 minutes & a 1-2 hour nap, if i'm lucky.

DD just turned six months and is in bed for about 10 hours at night. She is to fussy to nurse when tired so she goes to sleep, wakes up at the hour mark to nurse, wakes up at the next hour mark to nurse, then sleeps for 3-4 hours, then wakes up every 2 hours after that. She takes about 3 45 minute napes each day. If I am *right there* in the afternoon I can double her nap time.

DS will be 6 mos in a few days. He sleeps really well at night. Down for 6-7 hours, up to nurse, down again for 3-4 hours. But he sleeps like crap during the day. 3 naps maybe 20-30 minutes each. He's been like this for a couple of months now so my hopes of the bad napping being a phase are shot. I'm very thankful for his good night time schedule though.

DD is 6.5 months. She's pretty much always slept really well at night, and at around 4 months, she started sleeping 12 hours straight. Recently, she's been waking up 1-3 times to nurse, but she's still sleeping about 12 hours total. Then she takes usually one 2-3 hour nap during the day.

I don't remember exactly how much DS was sleeping at this point, but I know he was always a pretty good sleeper at night, and a terrible napper for about the first year.

DD sleeps about 10 or 11 hrs at night and then 2-3 naps during the day totalling 3 hours of naptime.

She sleeps from 7 to 7 generally, with wakeups to eat. During the day she used to get about 3 hours of naps, but she seems to be boycotting...

an_aurora thank you for posting this! I came to MDC this morning looking for just this thread

DD goes to bed between 6:30-7:30 wakes for 2 feedings (usually 11:30 and somewhere between 3-5p)

She also takes 1 morning nap 45-70 min and 1 afternoon nap about 2 hours. Occasionally she'll take a 30 min catnap around 4:30.
