Nursing Mamas TTC February - Page 5

Before I had kids, I had the most perfect 28 day cycles with O on day 15 like clockwork. After #1 while still nursing I Od generally on day 20 or 21. Got pregnant again and with my new cycles after #2, I O on day 20 or 21 still. How weird. I also have shorter luteal phase since I'm nursing, so my cycles are anywhere from 28-30 days.

oh no- sending many your way. I'm so sorry. I'm glad ds is there to help you cope emotionally. hang in there! Maybe temping this month will help give you something to focus on, if nothing else.

AFM, I'm supposedly 4 DPO, according to FF I O'd on CD 63. Timing wasn't wonderful, but ok I guess. What do you ladies think? Do you think I really did O? Not sure if I should wait and see or move to waiting to know...
I am not sure. your chart is pretty all over the place and unpredictable. I think maybe with the watery CM FF picked that day for O, but it shows watery CM AFTER possible O date too so I wouldn't bet on it. I agree with the other poster regarding taking OPK's. It would help to have more definite O signs

My DD was just over 2 when I got pregnant with DS. She began sleeping through the night when she was 2.5. I never nightweaned her, so I basically never denied her. As soon as I was pregnant we talked all the time about the baby and about how she would share her "bee" with the baby and she was very into the idea of sharing. She wouldn't have been a fan of being denied. Maybe your son will be okay with it as long as he realizes that there's still one for him? Also, he'll be 4.5 by the time you have a baby, and is likely to have reduced his nursing needs.

haha...tell me about it! I'd like to take the OPK's, but at this rate, I'd go through 20 per cycle. Guess I'm just waiting for this cycle to be over and hoping that the next one is better

oh yeah, the watery CM was questionable that day so i guess i can take that out if it helps

sarahmck~your probably right about him being fine with it. He still nurses during the night a few times and a few times during the day.

Hey mamas...quick check in. I JUST poas 10 min ago with like my 5th pee of the day and I got the faaaaaintest line. Not getting too excited just yet though; I cannot tell if there is purple in it or not. I saw the line in 3 minutes and I have never had an evap happen that quickly, even on an IC. I have a FRER left but am saving it til AT LEAST 11 dpo, the earliest I have ever gotten even a barely-there BFP on one. I'm only 9 dpo today though so that would be crazy for me! FX!!!!

finnegansmom- I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Wishing peace and blessings for you and yours.

SoCaliMommy- sorry to hear of AF finding you (not sure I told you already). I really enjoy your positive outlook.

rcr- fx that your O will wait until this weekend!

lifeguard- I was frustrated just to read what happened with your refer! Hopefully that can get fast tracked this time for you.

Luck to those who will be testing soon!

I've really enjoyed the insights from the discuss of tandem nursing- something I'm totally excited to try (fx). I love the thoughts about no sibling rivalry.

AFM, I'm thinking AF may be trying to find me... I've been spotting on and off the past week, but it has just been tiny, pink streaks. Today, it is significantly more and darker red. Not enough that I'm ready to call AF today, but I'm pretty sure she will come very soon...

On the one hand, yay for the return of a somewhat cycle. On the other- I'm thinking FF might have been right and I DID O- making me 7 DPO. (The more I think about it, I've gotten really crappy sleep the last week d/t ODS being sick and if my temps were higher, then the thermal shift could look convincing, couldn't it? I *am* above a coverline for longer than I have seen during this chart...)

Anywho- if AF starts, that's one lovely LPD I have. Bummer. I'm already doing Vitex and B6. *If* I get AF, WDYT about adding NPC? How much B6 have you done for LPD? I'm only doing 100mg/day (split) b/c that was the level I was comfy at with nursing, but has anyone done higher?

and, ironically, thinking ahead- if I am cycling, I'm going to be OOT the last week of Feb-first week Mar, which would be a likely next O date! arg! (However, I'm going to a Birthing From Within training, so yay on that!)

I had an appt with my NP yesterday (following my endo/pelvic pain issues) and we talked about TTC. She's checking my thyroid again (was checked in Sept & normal) d/t my low temps, tho she wasn't worried. Other than that, she said basically to wait it out- she didn't want to check any of my other hormones levels (even tho I tried to talk her into a progesterone level just so I would know...). She was very encouraging of TTC right now given my other health issues.

okay, sorry to not have more time for personals, nak. More later. best to you all.

omgosh! Wishing the best for you! Hope to hear a blaring BFP very soon- A faint line with diluted urine that early sure sounds like a BFP to me, though. Cautious congrats. Can't wait to hear.

I haven't been here in a while because I was on vacation and didn't have access to a computer but I just wanted to say that you can add me to the success stories
I got a very faint line on a $ tree at 10 dpo so I did a digital and it said pregnant!!! I am happy but nervous at the same time because I had a miscarriage not too long ago.
I guess vitex really works!!
CONGRATS GEN!!!!!!!!!! Sticky vibes to you! If the line I just got is in fact a real bfp then we'd be due around the same time. Yay for Vitex! I used Preseed this cycle. The last time I used Preseed I got my DS!
Wow - the 4th of February & already so many bfp's! I sure do hope the trend continues!
Babygrey, I'm assuming this would be your first cycle. If so, I wouldn't worry too much about the LPD just yet. It's really really common to have a short one the first cycle or two back, mine was actually 4 days the first cycle.
I'd keep taking the B complex and hopefully within a month or two you will see that LP lengthen by a day or two each month.
Gen24 CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

AFM I think I ovulated today, BD was fairly well timed, so I guess the 2WW begins...

Congrats Gen and Beauty!!

**note to self - buy Vitex immediately**

lifegard adn SocaliMommy- thanks for the vote of confidence re age factor. I agree it's young, it's just that the rate for m/c or downs goes up significantly and having suffered through m/c once I don't care to ever do it again!

Finnegansmom- I am so sorry for your loss. And Socali- My m/c was also a missed m/c and it was horrible in so many ways. The most life changing experience of my life, except my kids that were born. And it was my first pg. (((hugs)))

Socali again- well twins would be cool something weird is my DH keeps saying if we have another it's gonna be twin girls. He seems so sure. Don't know where that's coming from but who knows? BTW he is a triplet himself...

babymango- just a thought but apparently Feb is the month of highest fertility for men. From experience two of mine were conceived in Feb.

littlebearsmama- welcome and for anyone else wondering about signs.. y'all are in the window for conceiving scorps. I myself (and yes, two of my kids!) are scorpios... it's a good sign

gotta turn the page to post more...
Socali- sorry AF came

babygrey- i hope you got your first real cycle, how exciting! and ditto what beachlover said about LP length.

Congratulations gen24! Congratulations beautyonthebeach83!

AM happy to be taking a temp and check break- phew! it's actually a relief not to stress about it.

Congrats beautyonthebeach83 &gen24

Tara2~ That would be neat if you ended up getting pregant with twin girls. I just hope i don't continue to follow my mom prengnacy wise. her first was me i was 3months early, my first was my daughter who was a month early. her second was my brother who was 2days late, my second was my son who was born at 38wks3days. her 3rd started as twins but she lost one and had my little sister. * my brother will be 5 next month and my sister turns 4 in July. my mom had my brother at 38/39 and my sister at 39/40.

babygrey~ Hope AF isn't trying to find you adn the spotting means something good It's been hard trying to stay positive, especially last year when i had a early m/c and my cousin announced she was pregnant then it got worse when she announced she was pregnant with twins. she just turned 24 and now has 4month old twin boys and a just turned 3 yr old son.

lifegard~ on dealing with the referral drama, hopefully they don't take their time getting you another referral.

Well, if this spotting is AF , it will be my second ppaf (got the first one for xmas )- so dunno if that makes it my first or second cycle (wasn't charting prior to the first ppaf so I dunno how long my LP was for that cycle, or even if I O'd- I actually was really surprised to get it back since with my DS it stayed away for 17mos and my nursling now is WAY vigorous), but, regardless, my body is just getting fertility back, yes. I wish there was a way to speed up the waiting, but this journey is already good for building my patience.

g/l on your Tww! fx!

I got a positive OPK this morning !!!! AND, DH comes home this afternoon! I am going to skip out of work as soon as he gets here, and hopefully I don't miss it.

I discarded that high temp, and my chart looks a little more normal now.
