2 pea sized lumps

DS gradually stopped nursing from my right breast and hasn't nursed from that side in maybe 5 days. My nipple is sore and as I was checking it out I discovered 2 pea sized painful lumps under the areola. I'll obviously get myself checked out but hoping I can get some peace of mind on here before then. Could these lumps be related to my ds no longer nursing? One almost feels like a clogged duct.

Thanks

Could be a clogged duct. To clear... do you have a pump? Per doc's orders I just cleared mine with using a heating pad for about 20 to 30 and then pumped and gently worked on the lumps pushing them forward toward the nipple. You can do this without a pump, but having the suction probably helps. The milk in there is really thick and the heat helps to kind of melt it.

I think they must have been clogged ducts of something similar. Thankfully they are gone this morning. I tried to get ds to nurse on that side in the night and perhaps that worked.
