Share tips and tricks, and words of wisdom on how to enjoy our time making a baby as much as we can!

Anyone is free to join!
Please BOLD new member info, changes in cycle, Big Fat Positives, adding charts etc, and if I miss it, direct message me. Thanks!

KEEP POSITIVE, LADIES!

Welcome karmab!

I'm wondering if you chart? If you aren't wanting to look into too many fertility options, charting might give you some answers you need (ie are you indeed ovulating, is your LP too short, etc etc).

Those are pretty easily figured out, and could very much help in your wanting to avoid herbs and anything more than the OB.

Welcome, and hope your stay is short!

my chart is in it's embryonic stages! tinyest little chart you've probably seen! i said this on another thread, but you know i'm trying to be laid back, and i dont want my dh to worry either, so i did buy this digital bbt thermometer, and the first day i tried to use it (last week), this man, who normally has to set 2 or 3 alarm clocks to wake up (and still sometimes sleeps through them) somehow heard the little itsy bitty "beep" of the digital thermometer and bolted up in bed.."huh? wha's that???" i scared him, the poor thing.

What is it about the BBT thermometer? I haven't used mine in over a year, but my DH did the same thing! He can sleep through alarms and our DS crying hysterically, but the stupid beep he hears.

Happy February!!

Anyone testing around Valentine's Day?
Hesperia~I was planning on testing on the 15th, the anniversary of our engagement...but O still hasn't arrived. It's saddening that I've been in the "Waiting to O" Section for almost a whole month....

How is everyone? Hope you are all having a lovely week.

hesperia- things are good today. my little chart- ff had a note over it today saying, while my chart does not allow ovulation to be pinpointed to within a 24 hr period (because i am missing info) my temp "suggests" that i ovulated between cd 4 and 14. if that is true, (and i hope they wont have to take it back if i get wacky temps after this!) i think it is more likely between cd 5-11. i did have one night, i think cd 10 when i thought i had some ewcm, but it's hard for me to tell with all the bd'ing. cd 11 was watery definitely, and then my dh went away for the weekend! well, will keep my fingers crossed.

Hi all, AF found me. Meh. And so it goes, on to round two!

Hesperia - may I please be moved to waiting to O?

I have my fingers and toes crossed for you, karmab.

Have a great day, everyone!

karma~There is a way to tell between semen and CM. CM is clear, stretchy and shiny. Sperm breaks easily. There is also a way to tell it apart by dropping it in water, but I can't remember which should float and which should not....TCOYF is in the other room. I will edit this post after I do some chores and find out the answer!

Is there room for one more?

I've been lurking for a couple of months. I'm currently a bit of an obsesser, but I would like to change my ways to save my sanity. Maybe you guys can help. Please add me to Waiting to Know I'm currently 9-10 dpo and got a bfn this morning. I know! It might just be too early, and I need to relax. However...Ever since I was pregnant with DS I have hoped to be pregnant by his first birthday, which is tomorrow, so the stakes are a little higher this month since that dream is probably about to die.

I am not charting yet because I'm still nursing up to four times at night, and I usually wake up many more times than that because DS is a restless (co)sleeper. Would charting be helpful at all since it won't be very reliable, or just another thing to obsess over? I have had regular 32 day cycles for about six months, and I get cramps on CD17 every month like clockwork, so I think I'm Oing around that time. Wow, this is quite a lot to unload in one post...

From what I understand, I think sperm is water soluble and CM is not.
Steph~Don't worry, I've seen longer posts, lol.
At this point, I think charting would be more stressful for you than anything. Normally, I'm an advocate for charting. Here's my speil. If you get 3 or more solid hours of sleep before waking, then temp at that time, around the same time every morning. Temping vaginally seems to be more consistent, you don't have to worry about mouth breathing, etc. So, if you think you can do it, try for a few weeks. If it gets too stressful, just stop, no big deal!

I am SO interested in hearing your response from the book!!

The other night (after I supposedly O'd) I got a glob of EWCM (or what I thought to be EWCM) but it was yellow tinged and it broke apart immediately. It makes me think it was actually sperm which is good because I was starting to wonder if I O'd later then I thought!

I am pretty sure that AF is coming tomorrow. *sigh* I have been cramping off an on all day. Oh well. One more cycle and then I am taking a medication break I think.
