Question for the Month or week or whatever

ok i want to know one thing each of us is pledging to do for themselves this month to remind yourself how much you love yourself, your body and your soul?

for me at least for right now, i just got myself these to die for shoes!!!

Good question of the week...and love the shoes. As for myself, went to the gym last week for 5 out of 7 days and feel so much better getting back into my weight training and kickboxing routine again. I also started a pottery class with my Mom.

No test results yet.... will call again this afternoon.

The evening with the girls wasn't quite what I anticipated. It ended up being more people than I thought, so it wasn't a forum to vent my personal issues. I did, however, talk to my best friend beforehand and told her what happened. She was very supportive and understanding, so I am glad I did.

I hope you all have a great week!

Thanks for the new thread! Adorkable, I have SUCH a weakness for red shoes. Orandalady--I'm so glad you could tell your friend. I think it helped me to tell old, dear friends, because they were so supportive. It's a good feeling.

Adorkable--I feel kind of silly hanging out on this list when I'm not on it--do you think you could add me back on, maybe with a note that I'm waiting until summer or fall 2010 to try? I'm 32, and here's my chart link: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/29bcc8 For some reason FF isn't giving me crosshairs even though, to me, it's OBVIOUS that I O'd on day 15 or 16, with a sloping rise. My low temp on day 21 was a fluke, I think, as I woke up super early. Didn't temp this morning. I dont' knwo why I care, but I feel like I need that validation from FF in the form of those lovely red lines.

Caring for myself this month: 1)I want a massage 2)I want to start seeing a therapist 3) I ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY will go for at least one but hopefully more hikes in this beautiful park near where I live.

For myself? Ooooh, but I've been taking such good of myself so far! :

I'm getting a tattoo, for one thing!!

Otherwise, I dunno. : Maybe I'll start working out again, or something.

Thank you for starting this thread, Adorkable. Those shoes are super sexy . I would fall flat on my face if I even tried to stand up in them LOL.

I love your question. I plan to continue to exercise at least 4 hours a week and journal. Also, I look in the mirror at least once a day and tell myself how beautiful I am and how much I love myself

Yay it's February!!! Spermies will be here tomorrow. End of this week will be exciting!

Newbian Mama-
Happy belated birthday! 32 has been great to me so far.

Teetina- to answer your question in the last thread, cost varies, like Newbian Mama said. Right now we're spending $250/vial and $170 on shipping charges. It comes in a cryo tank and is super cold. Gloves are needed to take the vials out of the tank. But then after about 5 minutes it warms enough to stick it under my boob for about 10 minutes. Then it's body temp and ready to go.

Adorkable- Those shoes are fabulous!!!

Care for myself- I've gained a crazy amount of weight in the last two months, even though I haven't changed any eating habits. So, I'm continuing with my regular exercise routine and adding water aerobics one or two times per week, starting this week.

Something for myself: exercise...and more importantly yoga!
Yay for the new thread! Thanks Adorkable!

This month, I am going to try to start yoga classes. I have been meaning to for the last couple of months, so I'm hoping that this month I can actually make time for it.

Also, I want to get into a regular vitamin habit. I just ordered Folate and need to start remembering to take my multi and calcium too.

Pinkgeek...I love yoga! I just have trouble making the time for it!

X-posted from Wanting and Waiting Tribe

I think I may be close to getting a "yes" out of DH too

We had some very good conversations about it this weekend and it turns out his biggest concern (recently, anyway) has been the cost of child care. So I did some research, gave him the numbers and my estimates on how we can pay for it, and he was like "that could work."

He also said "I guess having a baby is like getting braces [as an adult] you just have to jump in and do it or it will never happen." LOL! For a little perspective, he just got braces last year after putting it off for a while and is very happy with the results so far.

I told him last night that even if he said yes right then, that we've most likely already missed any chance this month (hopefully that will reduce any pressure for him) and that he should just think about all the fun we'll have while practicing/trying!

Daily vitamins are definitely in my routine again and I just ordered some food-based folate supplements too.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Sorry, not much to say. I am, as always, hoping, for myself and for all of us.

Pink, I'm on vitamins too. My sis gave me some leftover prenatals. 6 a day...ugh, torture! and they smell awful, but at least they don't upset my stomach. i normally have to take a multi before bed cuz if i'm awake while i digest it, i feel awful!

Gorgeous shoes Adorkable! I love red and I love shoes that aren't the normal black or brown. Like Newbian though, I would trip over myself trying to wear something so tall. I'm a total klutz and somewhat of a tomboy. I have been thinking of getting myself some of these Vibram Five Fingers for working out in, but I'm trying to be good and wait till my old sneakers wear out before I spend on something new. But they look so cool!

As for taking care of myself... I've been trying to get outside more for walks or runs instead of working out inside. Somehow I always feel such a lift in my mood when I spend part of my day outside, no matter what the weather.

Pinkgeek, good to hear the hubby is feeling more motivated. I don't think anyone is ever truly 100% ready for big changes in life. He's right, you just gotta jump in and hope for the best.

Morning lovely ladies! I'm back from my trip and I just tested (I know, I said I was going to hold out but between my Mom, my DH, and my BFF it was too much peer pressure!)
Yesterday morning on 2 seperate occasions my Mom asked me if I'm pregnant.

Anyway, I'm only 9dpo today so whatever...it either will be or won't, right?

Adorkable- CUTE shoes! Love them!

Teetina- Those shoes remind me of a friend who runs barefoot. Maybe he should look into something like that. Thanks!

Monarchgrrl and Newbian Mama- Thanks for the info! I knew that it was expensive but I never imagined it would be so little quantity. I wish you both the BEST of luck...and you're right 32 is pretty awesome!

grateful301 and pinkgeek- I just switched prenatals--food based, folate, no soy...so far, so good...finding one that doesn't make one barfy can be vexing...good luck!

Alright, I am hoping to see some + + + + + + tests in the next few days as some of those I stalk have beautiful charts! We need some February love!

Have a wonderful Tuesday...

15 DPO-
it's days like this that drive me nuts....

AF is due today, tomorrow or possibly thursday and i dont see any sign of her AT ALL. haven't tested since 12 or 13 dpo but also dont really feel anything that direction either. usually have a few cramps by now.
i have made myself promise that i wont test till the morning of 17dpo since if i got AF on 16dpo (making my LP15 days), it would be just absolutely normal for me (way over 50% of the time). AF usually comes mid day for me, so testing in the morning just hours before is depressing. so thursday it is and that sucks.

i used to be able to happy test willy nilly and not get down about it, that has started to change so i have worked hard to get some self control in the POAS arena.

so in the end, todays like today, have just started sucking.

It's so hard to not get my hopes up when nothing is there to squash it for me like cramps...
It's so hard to have hope when hope has been unrewarded for so long...

......its days like this that drive me nuts.

and for you!!!

Adorkable- I'm sending you some patience vibes! I feel for you and hope for the best.

Jenne- fingers crossed for you!

I finally got my test results back this morning. Not exactly what I wanted to hear, but better than they could have been. My PAP came back negative, but mild dysplasia on the biopsy. My doc said I could do another surgery, which I REALLY don't want to do since it can cause problems in pregnancy, or I could wait 6 months and get another biopsy. I am definitely opting for the waiting. He did say, however, that we could keep trying to get preggo, so that is a definite+! Right in time, too, because I should O on Friday. I'm still feeling a little down about the m/c, but I am also excited that I can take this opportunity to try again. I AM going to try my best not to test till 16DPO from now on (hold me to it!)

I'm glad you got the okay to keep TTC, Orandalady!
Adorkable--I'm waiting with baited breath to see what happens! Sorry you're having to sit through the torture.
Jenne--9 DPO is still early!

AFM: Well, I'm really happy because we were just assigned thesis advisors (I'm getting my mfa in creative writing, and will be writing my thesis next year) and I got my top choice. So I'm excited. But what really makes me happy is this:
I was looking longingly at the two couples sitting near us in the restaurant last night, each with an adorable year old baby, and DH was like, "Don't worry, that'll be us soon enough," and I was like, "Well, it's probably smart to wait till fall so there's no chance of me having a baby while I'm still working on my thesis," and he got a surprised look on his face and was like, "No! You can do it! Can't you just get an extension on your thesis?"

This was exciting because while I've always been baby crazy, DH has been, you know, into it, but not INTO it--more just "whatever makes you happy" about it. But his reaction last night basically telegraphed to me that he's maybe got babies on the brain, too--it was SO sweet.
