Blanca- that is so sweet about DH! Sometimes it's hard to know what is going on in their minds, and sometimes it's a pleasant surprise!

Happy belated birthday! 32 has been great to me so far.
Thank you for the birthday wishes. Now on to more important things: how did it go with the insemination???!!! Inquiring (um, nosey) minds want to know

Anyway, I'm only 9dpo today so whatever...it either will be or won't, right?
9DPO is still pretty early and I love your Zen attitude, either it will happen or it won't. I hope you get your BFP very soon. I hope all of the active TTCers get BFPs as soon as possible!

Aw, Blanca, I'm so happy for you!! That opens the door to some little ones soon

AFM, it took me 15 minutes to figure out what "AFM" means I'm just hanging out, waiting for AF to appear late next week. I believe in pre-birth communication so I've been meditating and telling a little spirit it's ok to join me. We'll see how that goes.

Adorkable- I see your temp was UP this morning... looking good!

Newbian Mama.... too funny- I just figured out what AFM stood for yesterday also. I wonder if there is a key somewhere for all of these Acronyms. BTW...I really like the pre-birth communication idea.

My temp was up this morning, but if I O'd yesterday it would be 2 days earlier than ever before. I think the more likely case is that I am getting sick (throat is killing me and my head is starting to clog up). Any ideas on how to deal with that on your chart?

Good morning! You could have very well O'd earlier than expected. I have had a cold for about two weeks and it only affected my temp one day (it spiked from 97.8 to 98.8). One rouge temp isn't going to affect your tracking because you're looking for an overall pattern, not just one day. HTH (hope that helps )

I first read about pre-birth communication about 6 years ago and have been fascinated by it. My mother says we used to "talk" to each other when she was pregnant with me. She explained that it was more of a feeling/impression or she would have a dream.

I meditated last night and had dreams about my FF chart. LOL

Hi Newbian Mama! Good timing on your question because we inseminated this morning, before work! Then we'll do it again tonight and tomorrow morning. I'm thinking I will O tonight or tomorrow morning. WOOHOO!! If so, then all of those will be perfect timing. My cervix was super high and open so that's good. All in all it went well. It was the first time doing it before work, so I feel a bit...um...wet and gooey sitting here at work. Sorry, TMI!

Adorkable- still keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

Blanca- that was really sweet of your DH!!!

Thanks for all the good wishes! I'm having a "does not compute!" morning. Faint pink line on $store test...stark (except when I get 2 pink line "eyes") FRER...this makes no sense to me unless the $store test is false--which it obviously is...

Anyway, I've come to the conclusion that I must be very sensitive to progesterone. If it peaks between 7-8 dpo and that is when my symptoms start...it makes sense to me. Which is pretty awful but knowing that I can hopefully skip the "could I be pregnant?" drama.

Monarchgrrl- Oh! Oh! I'm so excited for you! Sending lots of sticky baby vibes your way!

Adorkable- Good looking chart. I hope it is up again tomorrow for you. How are you feeling? Are you doing okay?

Newbian Mama- We talk to our future babies too...so glad to know we aren't the only baby dorks! I think we are going to be cycle buddies. I'm expecting AF sometime next week too.

Orandalady- Fingers crossed for you! Come on baby!

Blanca78- Doesn't it just make you fall in love all over again!?

Yes! It's bliss!

Jenne-I dunno, if the Dollar Tree line is pink, no matter how faint, I wouldn't count yourself out just yet. Take another FRER tomorrow! You never know what might be up with a particular batch--supposedly sensitivity can vary.

Orandalady--I think there might be a way on FF to record that you're sick on a given day?

Adorkable--so is this 16 DPO for you?!
Whoa, I just got the darkest OPK I've ever gotten!! I can't stop staring at it! Usually my positives are only barely as dark as the control on the left edge and the rest of the line is light. This one is the first one ever that is quite dark the whole way through! Maybe that's a good sign for this cycle!? Even if it doesn't matter, I'm going to pretend it does.

Oooh Jenny, a line is a line right? I bet the $tree one is just more sensitive this time! Crossing everything and sending you baby dust!!! Can't wait to her what happens when you test again.

you can mark illness in the specific checklist, I also usally make a not as to what type of thing I am feeling in the notes and if I thought it might be messing with me temp or sleeping. The other ladies are right in that it probably won't affect the overall pattern unless it gets really bad or is right on o day.
Another trick I use to keep things clear for mysef is I sometimes fake a white hollow dot on days that I think the temp is unreliable. That can be done easy by setting the time that day more than I think 30 minutes off. I do noon as a note to myself since that can never be right, then I make a notes entry as to what was happening.

I do think based on diferent batches and slight diferences in the amount of pee you use that a $tree test could be more sensitive than a FRER. and eve though FRER are great for being clear and error free the are also known for being very faint on those early days.
Test again tomorrow!!!!!!! I'm crossing everything for you!

As for me my temp is down a good bit today and i'm feeling the kinda full feeling that is proable pre-crampy for me. Strange cause my cramps usally start pretty solid at about 4 am. Haven't peed today yet, may take a $tree don't know.

yeah if I started today my lp would be 16 days ( I'm at 17dpo) but I also keep getting the nagging thought that I didn't o till CD 20 and I have maybe 5 or more days of this crap not knowing still in store for me. If I don't start by tomorrow morning, I will assume that is the case.

AFtherestofM-
the deployment still looks, things are getting more packed ad dh and I did out fun trip to the camping store like last time, this time he may really need some of that stuff!
We have heard that right now it stands at going for 6 months but they currently don't have replacements, so after 3 months if that isn't fixed they would probably get exstended.

My frusteration dujour is I have an anual trip that comes up next week. I always go to Macworld Expo in SF. it's my little geek treak and a reunion with a lot of pals I know from years of going as well as a few days after with my great local friend from when I lived down there before moving for the army life. This was the year he was finally going to come with me and now that's in the can. And I am torn between going myself cause I'm sick on putting life on hold all the flippin time and feeling like less that poop that would dare spend any of these presious last days away from my beloved.
If he gets called to leave the day I get back I'll feel like poop, if he doesn't go for 3 weeks still and I don't go I'll resent this life even more than I do right now.
The fact that valentines day falls at he same time only adds insult in injury.

Sorry but I had to LMAO at "wet and gooey"!! I'm sure once you got to work the feeling quickly surpassed. And congrats on the super dooper dark line. I would definitely take that as a sign. Sounds like you've got perfect timing this cycle

I'm with the others that a line is a line is a line. Are you going to test again tomorrow? I've got everything crossed for you and I'll borrow more fingers if I need to! Maybe all the talking you guys have done worked and one of those babes is going to be joining you soon

I've never had a cycle buddy so that would be very cool... but maybe we won't be buddies after you test tomorrow...

I think you should go to Macworld. Life is full of what ifs... what if my honey gets deployed tomorrow, what if he doesn't get deployed for three weeks, what if I get pregnant, what if I don't, what if I don't wash the pre-washed lettuce, what if I eat a pint of Ben & Jerry's for dinner instead... (ok, a couple of those were my own thoughts ... but you get the picture. Talk to your honey and see what he says. A fun trip with friends can be refreshing to your mental health and your relationship. Plus, I've always wanted to go to Macworld as I'm an Apple Geek too and I can live vicariously through you! Hope that helps a bit.

AFM = As for me

I lurked on this thread for weeks, been posting for about a week, and just a few days ago figured out what AFM meant.
And ETA means "edited to add." It took me months to figure that one out.
Morning ladies!

Well I've just finished my first 2ww ever, I'm officially a real TTCer! No more newbie flowers for me. That was tough work, not obsessing over ever little twinge and pull. My luteal phase was 4-5 days longer than the last couple months I have charted with my IUD in. So weird, cause I thought that couldn't change much from cycle to cycle but I sure kept the suspense up! I was so happy when AF came because I had an answer at least, even if it wasn't a good one lol. My anniversary twilight zone theory with Adorkable didn't work out after all. I'll have to hatch another one for February. Another month to prepare my body to be healthy and another month of unfettered coupledom with my sweetie. Valentine's day has to give us some good luck, right? Come on Cupid, hit us with a baby arrow!

Jenne, I run barefoot on the treadmill and I love it sooooo much more than with shoes. I hate running outside with shoes on and if I do it too much I get pain in my legs, but I'm too chicken to try it with no shoes. Maybe those toe shoes will feel better for me, when I get them.

Orandalady, I totally understand why you'd want to avoid a second surgery if you can. I really hate taking pills and procedures and all that stuff. I'm so glad you can keep TTC while you wait though. It looks like you O'd yesterday but there is no connecty line... are you still feeling sick?

Monarchgrrl, LOL at the wet and gooey feeling. I'm crossing my fingers for you that you'll get a positive for valentines day this year.

Adorkable, I think you should go on the trip. I've always regretted the things I didn't do much more than the things I did do. It sounds like you need a little fun in your life right now, and I'm guessing your DH would want you enjoy yourself. Is there no way he could go with you if you guys packed up and were ready for deployment beforehand so he could grab a last minute flight back if he needed to?

Blanca78, congrats on your top thesis choice, that must feel so nice.

Pinkgeek, how are the husband chats going? Maybe you should introduce him to Blanca78's hubby! If that won't melt his heart, I don't know what will.

Jenne, that chart is looking goooood. And a line! I'm no expert at tests, but I've been told that a line is a line, no matter what and that false positives aren't too common. I'm so excited to hear if you get another line today. I'm getting my party hat ready...

AFM, the first few times I read that, I thought people were talking to someone named AFM or with those initials in their login name. But then when they only talked about themselves to that person I started to wonder. Plus there is no one named AFM in our group. Sometimes it takes me a while hehe...
Well, Teetina, I guess I should say congrats, though I wish you'd gotten your BFP this cycle! You'll get it soon enough, I bet! And yeah, I'm excited about my thesis advisor. Now I just have to write the damn thing (arrghgh).

Adorkable--I can see why you think you might have O'd later than your chart says, but at the same time your chart is so similar to your others, I'd be inclined to think you O'd the earlier date...

AFM, if I set the detection method to "research," it says I O'd day 16; otherwise, it gives me day 18. Either way, my temps are still up (today's was lower because I woke up a couple hours earlier than usual). That's good news because it means my LP is longer than 10 days after all. At least, I hope so. No temp dip yet. I do have a cold, but no fever, so I don't know if that's affecting my temps or not. Only time will tell, I guess...

Hehe you girls are fun. Yeah I'm going on the trip for now, we have conflicting info, but some folks in the know say deployment may take weeks. And yeah dh does want me to go have fun. No way he can go with me, they have stuff to do and it just a nono to leave the state right now. In theory they could get called up within hours, even though thankfully that is unlikely.

Anyway, on the baby making front, I'm either 18dpo with no af in sight or my other theory about how my whole chart was too low and I'm actaully 12dpo. I did a override with that and my usual coverline, just to look at. Time will tell, maybe. I had the tiniest lightest pink tinge to my cm yesterday, nothing you would have ever noticed cept I was really looking. No other symptoms either way specificly.

Oh and the online abrviation that took me a really long time to figure out: YMMV, drove me nuts! It's "Your Mileage May Vary" often useful around here.
Adorkable- YMMV- I've seen that and never knew! Thanks! IIRC (If I Remember Correctly) took me a while too. I thought it had to do with RIC (routine infant circumcision) because that's what my eyes saw first, but it never showed up in that context. I'm glad you're going on your trip. I'll wave to you from my office window!

Teetina- Sorry about AF, but like you said, on to February! I'm with you on the Cupid baby arrow. Come on, Cupid!

AFM- I'm wet, gooey and squishy at work again today. We insemed last night again and this morning. According to my temp it doesn't look as if I O'd yesterday, so that's good. My temp was up a wee little bit this morning, but not like my usual large O jump. Hopefully it'll be today. If not, then the timing would be way off and there'd pretty much be no chance for it to take. But what will be will be. It's over and done with and now all there is to do is wait.
Jenne- My first + last month was on a $Tree, while the FRER still said -, so it is possible! And your chart is looking awesome!

Teetina- here's to a Valentine's day baby!

Monarchgrrl- I think we are cycle buddies! Hopefully that "wet and gooeyness" will pay off this month.

Adorkable, I'd have to agree with Blanca, the earlier O date sure seems consistent with your normal pattern. Are you going to test, or still hold out for a few more days?

AFM, I *should* have O'd today or tomorrow, but not quite sure what's going on since I am sick (bleh). My temp was off the chart today, but I still got a + OPK, so I am thinking tomorrow will be the day. I took everyone's advice and entered "fever" on FF and it discounted yesterday and today's temps. Now, I just have to convince DH to still want to get near me with the runny nose and coughing!

I'll be back once this has sunk in a little...

Wow Jenne! I can't see what it says on my computer, but I'm assuming it says Pregnant? It seems to me that your little lost angel is making another attempt at being your child.
