Thanks! He might. I've talked about TMing with him. He knows he was manifested through a Love Spell and my TM, so he's definitely a believer

YAY on the house! Fingers crossed!

Yeah-- mine does that, too, whine and complain. I don't care. I'm the Mean Mama and I just repeat the brain-dead phrases, a'la Love and Logic: "mmmm..." or "bummer..." or if he really pitches a fit, I'll just start packing things up-- all it takes is a gesture, one or two things-- and he's like "NOOOOO!" and finds something to do I don't even bother giving him suggestions. I believe that boredom is the cornerstone of creativity. He tells me he's bored, I say "Bummer...well, you're a smart kid. You'll figure it out" (ever read "Into The Forest"? Got that from the parents in there) and leave him to it. It doesn't usually last long.

Also, I believe "and the magical vision that gives life it's meaning" should read "its" and not "it's"-- because with the apostrophe it is a contraction of "it is". Someone correct me if I'm wrong?

maia- thanks! (the first thanks was for reminding me of Ros&Guil) I'm usually pretty good as an editor but there is nothing like three small children and a slooooooow internet connection to make the english language a little more amusing.

Happy ongoing Imbolc week!

Yay, Heather!

Happy house buying, aweyn

Love the Etsy site, Wombat,

I wonder if we can get Netflix here? Have to check it out. Sounds very convenient.

I don't have time to sign up for another college course right now. Just do. not. have. time. Or the spare change, either. So why am I about to?

Talk me down, please, someone....

I turned the computer games off yesterday evening and guess what? It wasn't so painful. The kids just played. I think I will allow my older two an hour after school and that is it.

I have 3 stories about Brigid to read to the children this week, including one about Brigid's Cloak. The illustration looks just like our moon and stars royal blue playsilk. I want to make Brigid's cloak moon and stars playdough, now or do something with that color scheme. Off to check the royal blue finger paint situation....

All this food sounds so good.....mmmm. I have just a cabbage salad and baked salmon and rice planned for lunch. I have a source for buying good quality organic breads day-old for less than a buck a loaf so I've fallen out of the habit of making yeast breads.

3 pages yesterday! You all are on a roll.

My dd is 8 on the 18th- we're doing a rollerskating party. We did it last year too, and we are all crazy excited to do it again.

Imbolc: since the astrological date for Imbolc is the 4th this year, it's only fair game to extend our celebrations! So I declare this week the Imbolc Week! And I'll relax and take time and space to feel the energy of this festival (cold weather and fresh snow sure don't put my mind into Spring mode ) so our celebrations/rituals can be genuine.
Imbolc Week= Great idea

That is fantastic.

aweyn- Yay house! I'll keep my fingers crossed that it all works out.

aeress- hope your uncle keeps healing!

Clay- Your stuff is gorgeous, and I really like the descriptions too.

Bored kids- dd1 is the one around here that complains of boredom. And she has a ton of crafty hobbies, access to all sorts of materials and supplies, and a little sister and a dog to play with too. I've made both girls little printed lists of "things to do when you're bored". So now if I hear about having nothing to do I remind them of thier lists, it works pretty well.

I'm still experiencing Global Warming here- it's been in the 50*s, and not even freezing at night. Still taking advantage of it by running outside.

I didn't go back to check the end of the Jan thread- sorry if I missed someone!

Good morning all *sips coffee from her beautiful Libra mug*. I hope everyone is feeling well!

Hmm, seems the posts I selected for multi quote aren't going to show up.

Gun - I am thrilled about the insurance news! Hopefully it won't take you long!

I worked my little fanny off the last two day!! (little ha! that was a joke)

I started in my daughters room, I sent the boys to Walmart to pick up a new kitchen sprayer for me (which is something dh wanted to do anyway)

Then I attacked. I stripped her bed, pulled her dresser about a foot closer to the window (easier said than done). That created a "nook" to put her folded up doll house in yay!! Then I moved around her kitchen, "baby bed" and the other toy bins. We attempted to get her to lay in her bed "day bed" style. She has a queen size bed, and likes to take about 20 animals to bed with her (yes it's a little ridiculous lol). However, she didn't like that, and I'm not going into her room 3 times a night. Once last night was too much. (although I did manage to get her to get up and go pee that time!)

Then I vacuumed her mattress, flipped it and vacuumed that side. Ick.

Yesterday I tackled my bedroom. I didn't make many improvements, but I did my best to consolidate what was there. We had more than 1 box of cables, another box of power cords, yet another box for plugs, but we don't know what they go too (yet!!!) and I made it so that dh can actually swing his legs off the bed in the morning...better yet, he can roll to his side and push himself up more gently. He has a bad back, and it's been important to me to get this done. He scooted to the end of the bed every morning. Well, now that he's back at work that's just not right. And I of course vacuumed the floor in there. Hopefully today I can pull my sheets off and do the same to my bed. it needs to be flipped at the very least.

I could have put all that in a blog post last night. with pictures. I will later though. I have a sore spot in my back, probably from all the lifting, so I may NOT be going nuts with cleaning today. But MAN OH MAN did it feel GOOD to be working so hard.

Yippee!

Maia- You're right, we just moved into our place in July. The Good: it's a beautiful eco-groovey house on beautiful property next to a walking trail and wetlands. The Unfortunate: it's not ours. We're watching it for someone who's out of the country. The deal will expire summer 2011, so we know we'll be moving by then at the latest. My partner and I are open and interested in living in another country (we're thinking Spanish speaking) and sharing that experience with our DD and DS, so we're trying to remain open to the universe for opportunities.

Clay-You rock! Love your Esty store! Beautiful work. My DD loves the Forest dreams one. I love the Beltaine, but they're all so pretty

There's more, but I need to run out to get the littles to school.
Happy Imbolc.

We have a netflix kinda thing (most are mailed, but some you CAN stream/dl without it counting against our puny 10g dl limit since it's by our ISP ) We have a 12disc a month plan and can have 3 or 5 at a time. Seriously that is our only entertainment budget..and I don't know how much dvd's are to hire there.. but down here a new release will set you back 7-10bucks! (unless they have a special hire 2 get 1 free type thing) So for the cost of roughly 3 rentals.. we get 12

Ok... dh and I just had a talk about "maybe we want a 4th babe". Ack! Nothing definate (and I'm still LAM), but I remember having these sorts of "gee...what do you think we'd do if we had a third?" type conversations before Tor's "accidental" conception.
I know where it'd leave ME in the conception scheme of things ... with dh sleeping on the couch until we made a decision ! Although... you said he has adhd issues with finishing projects or soemthing? If so no considering #4 until after the addition is all done might be good motivation hehehe.

Clay, grats on the Etsy site! I hope it goes really well for you

Quietly trying to get back into our homeschool year here... Must hit the planetarium site to book in for a weekday show (where we'll get stuck in with a school group I'm sure, ironic ) I have decided I must must must find a paper planner for schoolwork... I tried the computer and it sucks :P I like scribbling notes on paper! Have to pick up the last book I wanted at the shop today, so maybe I'll geek around and see if they have something suitable. Then groceries... rather boring day for me it looks like

I hope everyone enjoyed the moon... she hid from us down here... it has been incredibly overcast for nearly a week, we are just seeing sky now

Cari, how long have you lived in Australia? I'm guessing 10 years since didn't you just have an anniversary? I've noticed you use Aussie lingo in your posts...just curious if you've picked up an accent while you've been there. I am a northern (US) gal by birth and raising, but I've lived in the south since 1988. People from here know I'm from up north, but people from up north say I've picked up a southern twang
M makes fun of some of the things I say (not how I say it, except for "y'all") and I didn't realize how much I'd picked up from living here. He gets utterly confounded. Like, I said "might could" last night...I guess that's a double something-or-other Oh well!

Wouldn't that be cool. You will have to keep up with us here, no matter where you go!

Accents- I only lived in England for 2 yrs and picked up a slight English accent. I still accidentally use british phrases/terms. It just comes out.
clay, lovely! and i totally get what you mean about doing it for you. that's wonderful to find an outlet, although where on earth you find the time i just cant figure out! really, all of you, i cant figure out where you find the time... i told dh i must be living in some alternate time-space-thingie.

netflix, it's absolutely worth it for us, but we use the online viewing a ton. we tend to go in phases (watching a ton, watching none), but we also really like to watch things more than once, so not having a time limit really works out nicely. we might ditch it, though, to compensate for having to pay more for TV/cable/etc soon.... (clay, have you seen the new trek yet? i wont dish if you havent.....)

extended celebrating-- you already know i'm celebrating for a whole month, lol.

signs of spring or what's in bloom? can we do this? i was thinking we could keep each other updated about what's blooming/growing/etc where we all are? sort of like we did with temps for a while.... here: crocus & camellia in bloom

thanks for the house vibes. i'm freakishly nervous. <dizzy> trying to keep myself sorted out with some chakra work....

speaking of, our dear saphire is going to post a chakra thread soon, and i hope you will come play!

hugs and vibes to all!

eta: speaking of etsy, anyone know of someone who makes bags? it's been hinted that my bag/purse is... rather *too* worn (in the not-cool sort of way), and i need a new one... but i want something fun! (searching on etsy is insane... over 900 pages of cotton totes! gak!)

i got a lot of work done. even had baby strapped to my back for about 2 hours. she slept the whole time. my fibro does not like it that i carried her that long though and is now in protest. i hope i didnt overdo it too much. i want to feel good enough tomorrow so i can get more stuff done.

i got the amber teething necklace in the mail that i ordered. so pretty! i hope it helps. she has started getting the drool pimples and everything. poor girl seems upset sometimes.

on the 4th i have a bday party to go to . one of my friends has a boy turning 5. we are going ice skating. that is always fun. and then we are going to there house for dinner. i am not sure what they are having. tonight i made my first stir-fry. came out real well. even DS said it was good.

my great aunt died. she had cancer and lived longer than they told her she would. i am grateful she no longer suffers, but i will miss her.

I arrived in Australia August of 2000 So this is year 10, and yep our 9th anniversary is Feb 19 I have picked up a considerable amount of slang and a few pronounciations (al-u-min-ium anyone? ) and such, but I am originally from South Georgia... you couldn't beat the remainder of my accent out of me with a stick So no, I don't think I have an Aussie accent even remotely *sigh*... I still pronounce 'r's at the end of words (Aussies don't... cah, pahk, sorta like new englanders.. only very much more relaxed sounding if that makes sense?) I have the g'day, mate and all that stuff going on though

Our cable, when we had it.. was nearly 100bucks a month.. so yeah, my dvd sub is the bomb

Hmm.. we have daylilies blooming all over... and the trees over our back fence just finished their bloom Right now though, things are just struggling to stay alive, which is fairly typical for our harsh summers. In a few months all will be green and lush again

Please share if you find someone... my handbag BROKE (and it was a friggin $70dollar one so not a walmart cheap & nasty!) I'd love to get something with real personality

accents - i've picked up a bit of a mashed up New England/midwest accent. unless i'm thinking about it, i don't generally say "a-boot" anymore... and i can definitely hear the Canadian accents when i'm visiting my folks (who don't seem to have one though that might be because they aren't native-born Canadian English speakers). my sister says "eh" all the time, knows that she does it, but can't stop saying it. drives me crazy! ds occasionally speaks like the dudes in Clones Wars (the cartoon series) - a really warped Aussie accent. dh picks up accents quite easily - he can sound like a true WV hick (though you wouldn't understand *what* he was saying when he flips into that mode) or he can, surprisingly, sound like a Canadian. eh?

ha! dh just informed me that incoming work email is hosed. darn.

we had a lovely dinner... minestrone soup with jowl bacon, garbanzo beans, leeks, root veggies, tomatoes, kale, homemade chicken bone broth, a shot of red wine vinegar, and a sprinkling of grated parmesan cheese. yum. i'm so glad there are leftovers for lunch.

ds has a loose tooth! like really loose.... i'm expecting it to fall out any week now...

um... i have a pattern for a quilted purse. i started one for me (with a matching wallet to boot!). will post pics to facebook when i'm done. but don't hold your breath. at some point in this process, my itty bitty machine will have to poke that needle through 12 (!!!!) layers of fabric. talk about hemorrhage. and i'm using this as an opportunity to also learn how to machine quilt.

I just got a bag from Nana Sadie Rose -- well, okay, my daughter did, as a prize -- that seems to be very nice quality. Her's is a tad cutesy for my taste, but that's just a fabric question, my notions bag is nice w/o cutesly. (I think it's http://nanasadierose.com).
She was one of the sponsors on the Lace Knit Along thing I do, other wise I'd never have heard of her.
So far, in my dealings with her, she's seemed to be good people.

Oh... I'm in LURVE! I have already picked out the one I think would work great for me (6pockets plus a file folder sized pocket, for my handy organizer etc). I'm browsing fabrics on her preferred vendor sites now.. there is some gorgeous fabric to choose from! I may have to suck it up with the crappy purse I have now and order one Thanks for sharing that site!

That's pretty funny. Back when I lived on the Outer Banks, a gal I worked with was from Lon Giland and she still had quite a bit of her old accent, but the really funny part was she'd picked up all the slang from being down south. So she said "Yawl" with a LonGiland accent

M does not have a New England accent, though he's been living in/near Boston since like 1978. I love listening to him talk...I don't know if he sounds like where we came from (NJ) because I'm pretty sure I don't talk like him, nor does my mom, or my brother, or anyone else I knew from NJ, but he says things like "I hafta go ta da store" and I know he doesn't even know he's doing it, and would be really self-conscious if I pointed it out. But it's so cute

LOL that the "hosed" slipped in at the end of that!!

I say "eh"...I think I got it from watching the...what was those guys, Great White North, on TV? Was that SNL or what, I forgot. Ages ago.

M can really do accents-- I had no idea back in high school that he could do that! He of course can do Irish really well, because his mom was off the boat and they had an Irish nanny also. But he can do British English and all sorts of other ones as well. I do not have that ability and I'm so jealous!
He is dumbfounded that I love hearing him "talk Irish" because he defaults into it when he's stressed or angry, and all his life he tried to suppress it because it embarrassed him-- and now his true love loves it. Poor guy is so confused.
Funny, though, I have had this thing for Ireland for a looooong time...I don't know why. And when I was thinking about all the things I'd love to have in a man, Irish was, well...I never thought that would manifest. I just thought that'd be a bonus, but it was one of those pipe dreams. And here my true love manifested, and it was M all along, and he's Irish

Feb 19th is a very good anniversary day, it is also a good birthday. My birthday, my Aunts, and my Aunt and Uncle's anniversary is that day.

We did nothing productive yesterday but that was fine by me. hehe
---

Anyone have a homeo remedy for ear drainage. Can't find my book anywhere and I am just beat cause it kept me up most of the night. It doesn't hurt, not an infection, allergy related. I have looked online but sheesh, there is a ton of info.

Accents- the girls, mainly Bella, have adopted a slight british accent. It is rather cute-
I am either really adaptive to my environment or easily influenced because I pick up accents easily.

Had a nice dinner of beef veggie soup and zuchinni bread. I also melted down some beeswax and old candles to make a small pillar candle. I plan to light it tonight, if I can stay awake.
Today is grocery shopping day if I can get out of the house, no flour, no bread, small amount of eggs- the kids have eaten me out of everything. Growth spurt?

Dh came home late last night from a meeting, so I think we're actually gong to celebrate Imbolc tonight.

And I'm hoping that I get offered a job today. I had an interview yesterday, but the person I was suposed to talk with had the stomach flu, so I talked to an instructor who had been with the company for 17 years. I think it went well, but I'll see. I think the timing just seems so perfect. Th einterview was scheduled right before Full Moon, then here is Imbolc. I didn't really do any manifesting magic so much, but I think I'll go light my candle in front of our shrine of Abundantia.
