mymary-
my midwife is having me do kickcounts every so often. i don't have a super active baby (from when i started feeling s/he move) but as long as i get 10 kicks in a "normal" amount of time (for me 15-20 mintues) we're good.
movement has SLOWED way down since i hit 9 months. i had tons and tons of movement after my chiro appointment that lasted until i went to bed. it was so funny since i haven't ever felt that much movement before. my b-h pretty much stopped after the adjustment, so i just had movement.

if i make it to 42 weeks then i will go in for a nst/bpp. but not until then. no reason if heartbeat is good & i have good kickcounts. i'm 41 weeks today.

what does your care provider say??

mymary-

I think you can just wait and wait as long as everything checks out normal. I had the "talk" with my midwife yesterday. She's had clients go 43 or 44 weeks, but most babies come by 42W. I'll "only" be 41 tomorrow so I've doing my best to prepare myself mentally for a longer wait...

DDC crashing -

With my first baby I was 12 days late and took castor oil with direction from my midwife. I took 2 TBSP at 10 in the morning, 2 TBSP one hour later and then 1 TBSP an hour after that. I tried to mix it with orange juice but it really doesn't mix......

Boy did it work! I had awful diarrhea but the spaced apart, weak contractions I had been having got strong and regular by about 1 pm. My daughter was born at 6 that evening.

So, maybe you need to take more castor oil to really make it work?

So, obviously I have nothing do to at my house except post here...

What a great day I am having so far...I decided that I can't control this birth anymore more than my other ones, so I'm going to just roll with it it! This baby will be here when s/he gets here. Midwife is estimating a huge baby for me...almost 7 pounds--wowza!
