Welcome to February's challenge everybody! This is the place to be to hold yourself accountable for eating at home instead of out. And also to be inspired by everyone's menus!

We did pretty well last month - only ate out once!

1. Stir-fry made from left over chicken, cabbage and rice plus some soy sauce, toasted sesame seeds, and a chopped carrot.
I've never done this but I'd like to participate this month. I have to get an idea of how this works then I'll come back and post more information about what I'm planning on cooking.

I'm in. We ate out twice last month and I bought lunch at work at least 3 times. And breakfast once, too!

February 1: Leftovers - roasted chicken and macaroni and cheese from the crock pot. Will probably add spinach or broccoli for our green veggie.
February 2: - bought breakfast; dinner: pancakes and eggs with cilantro and chorizo

1-dinner at my mom's *dh and ds2 had lunch out
post #9 of 211
This sounds like the thread for me! Although, I have to admit that I don't do a lot of the cooking in the evenings, my dh does.

We're going through a busy phase of life right now and it is tempting to make excuses for not eating at home, so I need this to keep us accountable.

Can I join? I planned meals all last month and that really helped with dinner. We only ordered in once and had take out once. My big problem is lunches at work. I just can't say no when someone suggests going out

I am hoping this thread will keep me accountable.

February 1 - brought lunch to work dinner will be pasta with sauce from the freezer

I love this thread. and I'm back again especially since I believe we only ate out 2x for dinner (which is huge for us!).

I swear between this thread & the "no-spend" threads I have gotten my act together for keeping track of where we spend our $$

February

1 - Flank Steak with roasted winter veggies, apples & cranberries
post #12 of 211
signing up again, I made good progress last month
post #13 of 211

1- Kimchee fried rice with greens and eggs
2- leftovers
3- went out for pizza
4- eggs and greens
5- rice, eggs, and greens
6- tomato soup
7- cabbage soup and toast

I'm in again this month! I'm pretty happy, Jan we only ate out around 4 times I'm hoping to do even better this month

1. Tofu green curry on rice noodles
I got pregnant last month and the MS was killing me (all day long) so we ate out a fair bit, as I just couldn't cook or function.

I'm feeling a bit better and willing to make another go of it.

We did eat at home all day today. Victory is mine!
