Somewhere around 7-9 months, I would night-time EC DD. She was not a good sleeper, and I figured if we were up anyway, I'd do it. Then I decided sleeping was a big priority, and we quit doing it. It took a while, but finally at 15 mos, DD is sleeping pretty well at night. The problem now is night-time diapering. She's got bum rash from sitting in wet cloth all night. Any ideas on how to start night time EC? Should I just try to change her dipe in her sleep and deal w/ night EC later? I'm pretty sure she only pees (although in a large quantity) once or twice at night, based on our previous night EC experience. I'm just afraid I will ruin her sleep again. But I'm also afraid I've been "training" her that it is okay to pee immediately upon waking into her dipe. Any ideas on how to start at this point?

I'd go for the quick diaper change and not interrupt sleep! I've read over and over that not pottying the babe at night doesn't affect daytime pottying. As a matter of fact, we stopped pottying at night, because my dd hated it, and I just changed her diapers until at some point she started holding it all night.
oh, I'm so glad for that advice! I just hope I can get in and out w/o disrupting her sleep. I'd much rather do that potty her in the middle of the night. Now I guess the other challenge will be when to do this- I guess it will just have to be trial and error. I guess I'll just check her every few hours until I figure out when it is she usually goes. Thanks so much!
