HI mamas! I'm starting this program after a lengthy period of being sedentary, first due to highrisk pregnancy and then recovery from a C-Section.

I know there's more mamas out there doing this program.

Where are you in the program, and what results are you seeing?

I'm starting Stage 1 today.

Thanks for starting this - the one I started ended up dropping off.

I started in October but am only in Stage 3 because I haven't been doing the workouts frequently enough. I think I'm in the 4th workout of Stage 3.

I LOVE this program. I gave the book to all my friends for xmas and they all love it too. I feel much, much stronger and I like how tough the workouts. In later stages, especially, the focus on balance is really killing me - but I figure that's what's good about it.

I've lost probably 25 pounds since starting the program (40 since late August), though I don't know how much of that is attributable to NROLW. I've been working out more and eating better - I do think the lifting has helped the way I look as I lose weight. I've lost 5 or 6 inches from my waist, which is pretty cool. I took measurements at the end of stage 2 (beginning of January) and will measure again at the end of this stage; it seems like I've lost 1/2 inch so far on each of the measurements.

But I haven't been nearly serious enough. Now I am really focusing on getting at least 2 workouts in a week (in addition I do hiit and some other cardio). Hopefully this thread will keep up and keep my motivated/accountable.

I'm restarting NROL4W tonight. I was about halfway through Stage 1 but then got too busy, so I'm starting at the beginning tonight. We'll see how it goes.

I'm still plugging through Stage 2. I love the "A" set, but hate, hate, hate the "B" set. I actually don't do the ab exercises because I do the Tracy Anderson Post Preg workout every morning and her ab section is really difficult and loooong. I don't know what it is about the B set but I really don't like it

I always sub to these threads but end up not contributing much. I love this book and am another one that gave a few copies for gifts. My mom's book is well worn but she needs to do more with than just read.

Rachel Cosgrove has a book out also and I think the workouts are little less intense though similarly planned (though it does depend on what you put into it). I just thought I would put that out there for anyone who felt 'new' to weightlifting.

So first workout back into things and I've injured myself. I grossly overestimated my ability to squat after a year of being sedentary, LOL.

The back of my neck is bruised from the barbell and I pulled both quads. I have to go sideways own the stairs.

fail.

Great job!

I've done two Workout As and two Workout Bs so far in Stage 1. I wish I could do it 3x a week rather than 2x but I'm marathon training right now, so I just don't have the time.
