Gifts for Three Year Old?

Hi Mamas!

My daughter will be turning three soon, and I'm at a loss as to what to get her! We typically don't do a big birthday (or Christmas for that matter), but we're planning on spending a little more on her this year. Any ideas on something special? She's not a daredevil, but loves to be outside. I was thinking about a kite (maybe?).

What have you gotten your three year old? Thanks!

We're getting DS a balance bike (strider) for his 3rd birthday along with a bike helmet. I figure it should be a great and active present for him which he will love.

I second the Balance bike. DD recently got a pink princess sword. She also likes horses. I'm thinking about a gymnastics class, because she is really sporty, but not sure if that would work as a present, kwim? Is your DD into art projects? Mine is really into painting (watercolors), play dough, moon sand, and beading necklaces....

My friends got their DD some beautiful playsilk wings that she loves.

A bike is a good idea for a three year old, I think. My 3 year old niece loves hers!

DS will be three in four weeks and he loves his bike.

This year we'll get him a leappad (in German though, my parents are gonna get it) and some playdough equipment for the hot summer months in TX to play with.

Mine just turned 3 in December. Her favorite new things have been 25-50 piece puzzles, dress up clothes and play dough things.
