OMG y'all

I have always suspected that my dad might be intact due to where he was born and the time frame. I have never asked about him specifically but my mom has brought it up in almost every circ discussion we have had that he was so I just let it go.

Well dad is now undergoing treatment for prostate cancer and mom was showing me one of his papers from the urologist where he had a bladder scan done. On that paper "phimosis" is checkmarked. So that means that he was not circed.

I am 99.9% sure that you can only have phimosis if you have the whole foreskin (someone correct me if I am wrong) since in an adult man the sphincter is to tight to allow for retraction.

Mom did say that when they first got married it looked like he was circed ie no foreskin on the glans but now as he has aged it looks different and he does have coverage.

I actually started laughing knowing that he was probably intact because it just goes to show how the intact penis is a non issue because he has never had a single problem in that regard.

It is hard for me to understand how you couldnt know if it was intact or not since in all the photo's I have seen there is no doubt. The only one irl I have seen are my dh and ds and you can definatly tell the difference.

I know there is a variation of normal from very short foreskin to a lot of over hang but still it is hard for me to wrap my head around being that intamate with someone for over 30 yrs without noticing something.

I'm so sorry your dad has prostate cancer. I'd tell him (or your mom) to be careful if he still is intact. It sounds like the urologist is setting him up for an additional surgery when he's having his prostate removed - the surgery of circumcision. It would be, after all, easy money for the surgeon to go ahead and cut off his foreskin while your dad was under. I'm guessing it would net the surgeon an additional $1,500. So you know, if your dad can pee and have sex just fine, no need to worry about any phony diagnosis of "phimosis". And I've never personally heard of an adult, circed male being diagnoses w/ phimosis so I'm guessing yes, he is still intact.
Maybe your mom isn't sure because either your dad had his foreskin pulled back when your mom first saw it or maybe she hasn't seen any other men to compare it to (I've found that most baby foreskin "hang" looks different than the adult male foreskins I've seen).

Thankfully my dad is not having his prostate removed. They have opted for radioactive seed treatment. During the bladder exam they also burned his prostate in preperation for the seeds next month.

I am going to talk to my mom though about things and make sure that while he is under they dont intend to cut on his penis. I talk about this stuff with mom then she passes it on to my dad since dad would be very uncomfy with me talking to him about his privates.

My mom was with one other guy before my dad but odds are she didnt even see that guy without clothing on so that is probably it.

I just dont know why my dad would say he was circed if he hadnt been.

I remember talking about not circing ds1 in front of my grandmother, and she said, "I wonder if your grandfather is circ'd?" I laughed so hard at the look of confusion on her face! I suspect he wasn't due to when he was born and such. I think it is pretty common if someone hasn't seen or thought about circumcizing, they just wouldn't know.
