No Politics in N&CE?

Does this mean we can't discuss civil liberties and what actions the President is taking on those matters? We can't discuss new bills? We can't discuss anything happening in the government? In any country? What about discussing corporations and their influences on government? Where is the line?

Thanks for reopening N&CE. So much of what I want to share seems to fall under politics, though, so I'm trying to figure out what is and is not permitted. To me, everything is political or has political repercussions.

Hello!

Politics will come up in things. You can certainly discuss Civil Liberties and government influence on that.

We aren't hosting political *debate* if people can have a peaceful discussion about Civil Liberties then that would be fine.

We aren't interested in hosting Partisan Politics so for instance if people want to discuss how we are all becoming socialists/communists/enslaved by the government or how the republicans are withholding progress/hate the babies/delusional then that wouldn't be something we would be interested in.

People do need to post rationally and factually.

You may discuss corporate influences. A lot of things do fall within the realm of Politics we just want the focus to be on News or Current Events rather than "politics"
